anybody have ideas how to exploit your consoles, especially PS3 or Xbox360, making them run OS Windows or Linux Or better still modify the hardwares OR tear your consoles apart and fit them into a standard CPU casing or mode them with some fancy lights OR run some retro games, modify the controllers to PS3 - > xbox vice versa OR running PS3 on PC OR anything crazy but works.

depends on what u mean by hacking here. I don't think using Linux on your ps3 is considered as hacking since it is a feature for the ps3. By hacking it means breaking into the firmware itself.
Modding and hacking are completely different things altogether too.

Getting Started

you might want to do some research before opening a topic like this, but i'll try to name a few.. someone has managed to turn a 360 into laptop form, as well as dig out a ps3 controller's internals, and fitting them into a 360 controller's casing

im pretty sure he has calculated the thermal output and that he's using a falcom chipset. so it should be less likely to RROD than your typical 360
