Guys, I have a Region 3 PSP slim with the custom firmware. I bought a region 1 UMD movie thinking that my PSP can watch but turns out cannot. In the firmware menu there is option to change region but even after changing region cannot watch the UMD movie so am I doing something wrong or I am stuck with an R1 movie I cannot watch?
thanks.

Hey guys,
I need some clarification on network games.
If my friends and i have different firmware version on our psp, can we network together to play a game?
To network, does it mean every unit must have the same UMD game and same version?
What if mine is using UMD disk and my other friends are using the 'ahem' version running on MSPD? Can we still networked?

Got a PSP from Best Buy in LA. USD 170 plus 8.25% tax so total was about USD 185 in total and after conversion, RM 580 in all (Itook advantage of the low US currency rate). Got it an pumped it up to cfw 3.90 M33-3 and so far no problems. So if you are asking, it's all good. You can normally buy psp accessories here in Malaysia. However, there is one thing you probably might want to get it from the US because no one sells it here. Its a casing for the PSP, the slimmest and the best and doesn't add much weight or interupt the handling of your joystick or buttons, which is very important. It doesn't protect from shock, but helps in avioding greasy and scratch marks. There are a lot of cheap casing here in Malaysia that adds weight and doesn't really give you a good gameplay experience because the casing is so thick. Check this link out. http://nuritech.us/sony-psp-slim-amp-lite-...-skin-case.htmlGood luck. This post has been edited by trancesition: May 1 2008, 09:44 PM
