Hi guys. Anyone know will the graphic rendered poorly in .cso compared to UMD ripped .iso? Heard some ppl saying that it will, while some says not. Need confirmation here.

D.Sync, well it isn't obvious at all.A cso file lacks some functions present in an original UMD game such as sound tracks, online gaming etc. This is because a cso is actually a ripped file of an iso.It actually is better to get an iso if you can,but a cso isn't too bad either.

I hope someone can post help regarding those flashing themes, or any tutorial site to guide me with.
I'm a newbie in such cases, in fact I'm afraid to do so too due to news of many noob bricking their own PSP.

So guys, any help please? icon_question.gif icon_question.gif icon_question.gif

Thanks in advance.

Alright.What firmware is your psp?

If it's either 3.71m33,3.80m33,3.90m33 or 4.01m33,then you can use my guide to install CXMB on your psp.By installing this, you won't brick your psp since it doesn't alter your psp's flash 0.

Cso =/= rip version. Cso just a compression file for the ISO, like rar file or zip file. If the iso itself is a full version than when u convert to cso it still the full version, but smaller size.

What's the differences between XMB n CXMB?

And what will be the difference if you're flashing it and with using CXMB?

Sorry if my question annoyed you.

EDITED: Using CXMB only can open CTF file? How about RCO?

Added on August 22, 2008, 12:09 pmI have followed the CXMB guide but still it ain't working!
OMG I desperately need help... Sigh...

Those CTF files doesn't seems to appear in my Theme option.
My firmware version is 3.90 M33-3

Can anyone help me define this for me please?

11)Open the existing SEPLUGINS folder on your PSP,and open the vsh.txt file on your PC.Add the line ms0:/cxmb/cxmb.prx under the existing plugin line.

Added on August 22, 2008, 1:10 pmSigh, I need help desperately...

Added on August 22, 2008, 1:13 pmIs it a problem with the -3 or is it the themes..?

Alright.

1) Do you see the CXMB.prx in recovery mode?
-If yes, then your CXMB is correctly installed.

2) Did you download a CTF theme for 3.90m33 (The update -3 doesn't matter)
-You can't use the example CTF i posted in my guide because that theme is for 4.01m33

Here,try this theme.

http://www.box.net/shared/ubzdt4wwg0
That's heartbeat for 3.90m33.

You should see a CTF file as well as a flash 0 folder.
IGNORE he flash 0 stuff, just copy the CTF file, and paste it in your ms0:/PSP/THEME.
It should now work.

Added on August 22, 2008, 5:20 pmThat step 11 is for users who ALREADY have plugins on their psp.

Read the guide properly lah..

Yes,flash 0 themes require users to copy/paste theme files into their psp flash 0 manually. This is very dangerous for newbies and i really recommend you to use CTF themes like. You don't wanna mess your psp up just for a theme right?..

no.

CSO is a compressed ISO. as long as the original ISO is not ripped, then its fine.
