Hi all SD BB Gundam Fans,

Finally we are moving into version 2. At first, I started the BB gundam thread is just to ask where to buy this kind of BB gundam but ended up to gather so many fans, gundam sifus. So, as mentioned, moving forward in this Version 2, I would like to put a list on what have we collected in our SD collection. So that for those new joined member can know more about the kits they wish to buy before buying it. And we can also organise some SD BB gundam event or gathering through here (although I am not sure is it allowed by mod?). We can also plan some bulk sale, for example buying Sanguo series together online to save up shipping cost...... I am not sure whether are these kinds of activities allowed here but I think should be ok.....

I do hope to have that much of SD too.......
By the way, my ambition is to get all the SD Gundam and to have a SD BB Gundam Museum...... (Sounds a bit childish for the age like mine blush.gif )

But the problem is I cant get some special edition BB Gundam......
Dunno where to find them......

For short term goal, I want to learn how to mod first.....
Then do re-cast to replicate some common part.......

For pirated kits, I would recommend buying Model GD.....
I bought two brand before, one is 'ZhengBai' and another one is Model GD.
And I found out quality of Model GD is much much nicer, as the detail on those tiny part still there and more easy to fit in compared to 'ZhengBai'.....
But is a few bucks more expensive than 'ZhengBai'.....

I am looking for a HG Model GD Akatsuki.....
Anyone seeing it?

anyways, planning to buy a lot of SDs here thumbup.gif , all ranges from 200 yen ~ 600 yen onli laugh.gif

Elo guys!!! Hehe been here all this time just didnt post hehe just read all the updates... I wanted to post when Iam at least done with painting the three brothers but thats impossible right now although I did manage to finish liu bei and zhang fei... guan yu well... i lost a part of his armor and i broke the spear... sleep.gif

hmmm bolt there are 2 versions of mg destiny.......i think your 2600 yen must be the normal version. anyways since that you're in jap heheheh can update us regularly on special editions which i think will not reach m'sian shores tongue.gif

I think there is something that we need to clear of......
I have been taking very long time to differentiate between BB Gundam and SD G-generation......
If you all do notice that, G-generation SD gundam is a bit lower quality on their apperance and articulation and BB Gundam is a lot nicer.....
And how to differentiate them is look at their box, BB gundam will be marked "BB战士" while G-generation's box will state the numbering (like No.XX Quebeley for example)......
And, of course, numbering for both is different and their price too......

Please correct me if I am wrong..... smile.gif

I did paint for the eyes too......
Coz I dun like the sticker.....
I use a lot of masking tape..... But of course, I havent reached that level to paint them nice yet......

All those SD lately are BB Gundam as G-generation SD stopped quite long time ago......
If not mistaken, Crossbone is last or second last product from g-generation production line......

I will copy a link from other forum's member to show you guys those different product in diff production line from Bandai.....
But, too bad, in chinese......

All Sd has their numbering.....
Just that BB has its own numbering and G-generation has its own numbering......
One very obvious thing to differentiate is that g-generation will have that numbering on top of the box right after the gundam name, but for BB gundam , the number is stated at the side of the box

Yuan Shao huh... guess theyll try to emphasize on that as the new enemy force... perhaps cao cao rise to power? I thought they would shift to chi bi so fast guess not... hehe works for me! Iam painting sazabi and yes its really hard me using gundam marker brush type for that... I still use the stickers! (tomorrow me gonna buy guan yun... my second one the first one me broke it while painting hehe...)

nothing much... maybe that's why i dont grab any... might purchase some at Graviti... they hold lots of SD stock last saturday... until so hard to walk around the shop... they should make the shop bigger la... one more reason why i always purchase at TM... Jusco QBay got 20% discount for all Sango Series (no Lv Bu). The price after discount is around RM18.40 (consider cheap for Pg ppl). And got 1 Musha #195 武者Heavyarms (I think same price with Sango Series).

RX78-3?err...if i remember correctly, that kit only cost 2500yen to 2800yen so it's stil a bit expensive but if u wan it, can get since it's hard to find in d market...

Personal view, only worth to buy SD Gundam from Jusco during promotion......
But in penang, different story, since we dont have Graffiti or TM here, so seem like Jusco is our only choice to get 'cheap' stuff......

you see... i went to queensbay at 9pm just to get tat sd.
and when i reach there... i dun see it. i tot it was sold!
then i see any other sd to buy anot.
since i come from the mainland, cant go back with empty handed!

and damn, i saw this musha i want kept on the side of the other side of mirror.
I guess someone dump it there and plan to get some other day.

For your information, toys will be taxed too.
For EMS, there will only be tax on your shipment once the overall amount exceeds RM500.
For SAL, depends on luck......
I have a few rounds released without being taxed, but kena once when I order quite a lot......
15% on plastic model......

i only got 4 old old BB bought 15 years ago can join u guys or not?
can remember the chinese names

Added on January 26, 2008, 3:39 amah I found the photo from reference link, they are in my hometown, anybody still keep these old BB, they r no longer BB now, very old.

yes zhao yun is a must, then ma chao will look similar, including lubu 3 of them r riding white horses. Then i peronally like Zhou Yu, and Hua Xiong and Dian Wei who has Zaku look. I planned to buy all sanguos one shot after my housing is settled.

Suppose you are buying Bandai kits, chrome part shown on the box should be chromed one......
About color, it may be different since the box art will always placed those painted pictures.....
If they straightaway using the actual model kits as the box art, I dont think we can have this much discussing about BB gundam anymore.....

bout comparing the art at box and the actual gunpla, mayb it's their way to attract customers XD ALL gunpla box are niceeeeee drool.gif but when comes to actual gunpla, depend on ur skill.

A theory made by myself : The cheaper the gunpla is, the more paint job needed; The more expensive the gunpla is, the less paint job needed. However, it all depends on the owner. Good? rclxms.gif

Since BB is that cheap, it wont be that detailed, colourful and poseable...... like MG/PG.
So, my opinion, modding and painting BB is much harder compared to those big stuffs......

I dont even have a chance to see a real HG Dendorium in front of my eyes here......
I wonder who owns it in M'sia, mind to show off here?

Going to build my first 1/144, but started with pirated one, what a 'shameful' start......
Hahahahaha

Anyway, anyone know to 'wash' out the so-called "chromed paint" on that Akatsuki?
Damn ugly......
Hopefully can finish it before CNY.... But I just have weekend to work on it....... sad.gif

The chromed paint is not that 'real' chrome like bandai kits......
It is some sort like spraying some shining silver then use clear yellow on top of it, like most of us did it.....

For Bandai, their chrome part is really a chrome part, you can peel off a layer of gold instead of like the trick that I mentioned before......
I will take picture later tonight.....
And one thing, this model GD Akatsuki is not like Bandai one, will leave mark when cut the part out......
Those has HG Akatsuki would understand what I mean.....

As I heard some use brake oil to wash off the chrome part, and at glance, I saw that 'product' is car-related, so I tot you are asking me to use the brake oil.....

It's kinda hard to find God Gundam even in KL...have never seen them in any stores but managed to get mine from Edison last time (a year+ ago), now no more stocks i supposed...

Penang got God Gundam. In Perangin Mall. My fren help me buy. Still in my fren place. U all know my situation larr... cannot bring back home. But not cheap. Around RM26 or 27. Forgot liao.

i dun think so...soft pastels usually adhere flattem surfaces...about using water..it would produce muddy effect..those are usually applied on WWII tanks..particularly on the chains

Give us some guideline since the shop so nice, giving u 40% discount on MG unicorn and give u a boxset of SD Gundam V Operation as free gift.....

I dont want to use Tamiya brand, wanna find those can be easily found in hardware shop one.....
Any recommendation?

take a sum out on a piece of paper...then dip wif toothpick to apply on the seams...won't cause melting le

better use tamiya de water sand paper, more durable...
normal water sand paper very fast die one

Jusco got Lv Bu and Transparent 3 Brothers set. Lv Bu RM89.9 - 20% = RM71.92 and 3 Bro set RM80.90 - 20% = RM64.72.

I need some claridication on that... one box = 60 random soldier units? or is that 1 box (as in card box box) with sanguo characters with one random cry.gif soldier each? Man I hope its a box full of soldier units damn thats gotta be good biggrin.gif !!!

i think bandai sell one big box to dealer,
inside that big box got 300-307 & 60 soldiers...
then dealer supply to model shop
either sell it separately or buy 1 free 1 or something else...

If thats the case then Iam buying a big box with them soldiers!!! They have less articulation and maybe simple design so maybe they are cheaper... perhaps alot cheaper!!! 60 soldiers... that would mean 15 per side... damn i can only hope and save money... All I need now is Zhao Yun!

Ya. I bought this model during my secondary back in 1995 lol... I actually still have this model but alot of the body part missing. And accidentally i saw this thread so i might just try to ask around if anyone know where to get it. Theres actually two version of it in the market. Theres one sold at 800 Yen and one sold at 2310 Yen from japan. The one i want is the 2310 yen which will be the bigger version of the 800 yen.
