Thought Syesha and Ramiele were horrible. Liked Michael, Davids and Brooke but I must admit, Brooke's becoming predictable.

Blake was a gimmick and Melinda was never going to win. This year is way better.

We'd have our opinions but I disagree that this year is mediocre. Just saw David Cook and his rendition of the Carey song was awesome. I'd buy his album (original, I mean tongue.gif) this second if it's out!

Yea, but what about the other contestants? David Cook as mentioned obviously stands out above the rest. In previous seasons, you could see at least 2, or 3 potential finalists. I think you could only mention 1 right now at this stage.

Anyway, Cook was amazing this week I thought.

Carly, two Davids and Jason are all on par if you ask me. It's just that Cook and Archuleta are peaking. I think White is out of it and KLC is a goner no matter what she does.

Bo Bice singing without the background music and Fantasia's Summertime were my favorites. Carrie Underwood's Alone had to be close too. smile.gif Best this season was Cook singing Always Be My Baby which is an Idol moment - him dedicating it to his brother.

Does anyone else think that Eliott has the whole Cat Steven vibe?

David Cook is damn good with his rendition of Mariahs number..

Starting to like him now but i often find him to be a little bit smug. Nevertheless David A for the winner!!!!!!!!
*
I used to think the same but I kinda accept that that's the way he looks but you gotta love the way he's so meek in front of Cowell after receiving a lashing earlier this season with the "luckily the audiences decide" episode.

The link is on David Cook and his brother who is suffering from cancer.

This comment from the link sums it all up for me:

QUOTE
I like the fact that he was the ONLY, and I mean the ONLY person on 'Idol' that kept it secret and did not give a sob story at the beginning like some contestants did. I feel that the only reason they had to tell us their sob story at the beginning was because they wanted that sympathy to sway the votes. This guy not only kept it a secret, he didn't even tell the other contestants, they found out due to the NEWS. I feel for his brother, but I also respect the fact that he did not use his brothers illness as a way to hike his votes, and he let the competition be judged as it should be, by his talent! He is very talented, his rendition of Billy Jean was fantastic! Randy even liked it better that way!

If you were to judge performances on a weekly basis rather than on talent or potential, David Archuleta should have been out with "We Can Work It Out." Let Brooke stay for one more week (or two since Carly pissed me off by being childlish).

Well if you want to argue based on talent or potential then surely Syesha should have that one over Brooke. Brooke has been getting on my nerves tbh. She's constantly whining and she hasn't been singing well for the past 3(?) weeks.
*
I do think that Syesha has a better voice. I did mention in the previous pages on how I was impressed by her singing despite losing her voice over a flu or something during the Hollywood elimination stages but to be honest, the ladies all piss me off. And as for the guys, I do expect the two Davids to be in the finale. Castro, like Brooke, are one trick ponies. Lose the guitar and piano already!

One reason why Brooke should be in AI for one more week more than Syesha tongue.gif
Kinda like that song to be honest.

That's it, Brooke White is a goner. End of story.

Brooke is beginning to piss me off infinitely. Stopping halfway? Archuleta should have restarted "We Can Work It Out" then and so on and so forth. Suck it up and stop the excuses. And stop lookin like you're gonna cry week in week out with that stupid face of yours. I mean, I used to like her but she's been using every dirty trick in the book to gain votes. Cook FTW but wouldn't it be awesome if he sang the more rock-ish Phantom of the Opera? biggrin.gif

Well, the crap guys are edging closer and closer to the title. William Hung didnt make it through the auditions, Sanjaya got further and Jason nearly made the Top 3! Good progress. Muahahahahha

Though to be fair Jason can actually sing darn well.....
...when he wants to.
*
Which means the judges will have to think twice before letting anyone through. Though to be fair to them, this season's genre week has been either rubbish or incredibly difficult for the contestants.

The judges were very harsh on Syesha if you asked me and for Cook's I Don't Want to Miss A Thing, I thought the electric guitar ruined the moment but Paula was on her feet, so what do I know?

YES !! Simon apologized for this  rclxms.gif ... I do take his criticism, and it can be nasty but that's the way it is. But yesterday's performance of DC is definitely one of his finest, and Simon just spoke rubbish. In fact, I really did not believe a word he said...
OK, for some reason Mr. BurgerFlippinMan or whatever his name is called this 'opinion' rubbish. Wonder if he had ever passed a communication course in college or whether he needs one. I said 'NEAR-PERFECT', so its perfect. 'Flippin' on me like that is rubbish.
David Cook deserves the victory because
- he was true to his heart
- he was himself, and no one else
- he sang the third song yesterday magically
- Simon kinda hated Cook at times
- his performances are worthy of watching again and again
*
1) Simon wanted Cook to win. Watch his spot with Leno.
2) And heart and whatever, how does that come into context in a singing competition?

But I do agree, I'd watch Cook in concert and I'd buy his CD over Archie.
