Viqq, you can ask the foreman to adjust the valve of the air con idle timing. Just said that the idle timing is too low when the air con compressor is on. Maybe you should ask several foremen to get second opinion.

FICD is a vacum valve that can stabilize the idle timing when the air con compressor is on. It will suck more air into the crankcase when the compressor is on, so the idle timing is stabilized. Just ask at the chop shop, I want a FICD that can stabilize the car idle timing when the air con compressor is on. But first, you can ask the foreman to adjust the valve of the air con idle timing for you. I hope this will help you. But sorry if I'm wrong.

eh not that it is low (R.P.M) at all times .. It is only low when i shift gear or something u know .. When i switch on the aircon, the idle R.P.M is still at 1000 R.P.M but then when sometimes i press the clutch to shift gear or something, the car like wanna shut down like tat.. FICD can get a first hand one kar? i don't want any second hand parts oh..

You described a lot of problems of your car after sevicing... maybe best solution is seek another new foreman service rather than going back to the old one which causes the problem

hmm.. but the thing is .. not much mechanic shop here in my hometown that has a computer to check the engine u know .. It'll be kinda hard to find one .. but i'll try ask later..

No more opinions or experiences already? One more thing, sometimes when I corner, break and put on the signal light, the chances of my car to shut down is very high.

Dude I have the exact same problem as you. My idling is normal at just below 1k when air con on. The car is still smooth. Just that when I want to change gear (eg braking before bump), then there's a possibility of the revs dropping till the engine dies.

Have u managed to fix it? Its very irritating X(

My battery is new as well. I don't think its the battery. Car starts up with no problem even on cold days.

My mech suggested I get the FICD thing. But after I researched, it seems to be for cars with idling problems when air-con on.

My car idle rpm at 1000 even when aircon on. Its just that sometimes, when I press the clutch to change gear it will drop and the engine may die.

Any one knows how to solve this?

At first he said my clock not working it's because of the fuse broken ma.. then he tried to put in a new one, but everytime he plugs in a new fuse, the fuse breaks.

if the fuse breaks everytime u put in a new one theres a short in your circuit..check what wirirng is shorting by referring to the fuse eg: player, headlamp fuse..once u know which part of the electrical sys is shorting, check the wiring for that specific part..a short circuit is dangerous and needs to be rectified asap
