how about the amps req? For ATI 3870 it req at least 26A right? But this enermax has got 22A only. How do v calculate the amps?
If v add the 2*12V rails it would be 32A. Is this the way to cal? Below is the chart that i copied down.
+12V1 +12V2 0.5A/22A 0.5A/22A 384W(32A)

QUOTE(kaiser_falco @ Jan 13 2008, 02:07 PM) promotion on silverstone st75zf for rm 570 try browse arround, that the best deal,it doesnt hurt to buy extra wattage for future proof..dont make a mistake buying only the power you are required...you going to upgrade sooner or later,at least you feel at ease to upgrade without ever need to worry bout wheather your power suplly can handle this??? 1st of all, i wanted to get 550W PSU rather than 500W but the brand that i trusted is only Enermax and not others. I cant find any 550W PSU from Enermax other than 600W. But 600W is over my budget. It is about RM600 while the 500W is only RM440. Secondly, if i were to spend RM600 on a PSU that is future proof/ to ease for future upgrades, what if the PSU got burnt during these few yrs (warranty expired) then it would waste my RM600. So what i plan now is to get the best PSU for my specs without further expanding my budget. And i think that i will not upgrade anymore in the foreseeable future (i.e 2yrs) but might just add RAMs and that's all.

so Enermax would be out of the picture huh?... But corsair PSU is so so exp... i mean more than what i thought. about RM500 for 520W... Hmm.... i know i can google but can anyone of you tell me more/expr about Gigabyte Odin GT 550W? I need to know the real experience rather than blindly just follow what the reviews said. What's the diff from Pro? Pls advice.... Added on January 13, 2008, 9:57 pmQUOTE(mADmAN @ Jan 13 2008, 09:12 PM) the latest/current enermax models has a tendency of going kaboom. shawty himself has gone through a few (i think 3) enermax PSUs that died. R u sure? Enermax is one of the best PSU manuf... That's kinda impossible... 3 PSU? This post has been edited by TheTraffic: Jan 13 2008, 09:57 PM

QUOTE(168257061 @ Jan 13 2008, 10:00 PM) ok. its very simple. Odin GT has P-Tuner which is the utility software. It can control the PSU fan speed, read the psu temperaure, read 4 thermal sensors temeperaure, read the Wattage usage. While Odin Pro just like normal psu only. Cant use the software. But the price is different about Rm50 if not wrong. add: the Odin GT also comes with 4 Thermal sensors which can let you place any component surface to check the temperature. So are you using one? Is it reliable? Will it provide stable power? But how come this PSU is so good when gigabyte is actually manuf mostly on mobo?

QUOTE(sukhoi37 @ Jan 13 2008, 10:13 PM) i'm using one. nice psu. yeah, but remember silverstone also managed to produce solid psu just after they ventured into this area. According to my specs, do u think Odin GT 550W has enough juice to pump my rig? Pls tell me more about this PSU other than the S/w thingy.. Does it has sleeving like Enermax, etc...?
