correct.  nod.gif
yes. as long as you buy before this friday biggrin.gif

please bear in mind that after ex-date, pbbank share price would be adjusted (minus) 30 sens.

one could also buy after ex-date to enjoy discounted price.

Why after ex-date pbbank share price adjusted (minus) 30 sens?

Just accumulate when you feel it is right. No need to wait go down more or go up or whatsever correction. I mean if the fundamental is strong, then it will sustain

Yeah I know that..the price now has dropped from its average 10 year PE of 13.9 It will be nice if the price can drop down some more so that I can buy it cheaper ;-)

Who the hell is this Dali ???

I particularly don;t agreed his statement below :-

"My final say on PB, is that its not a stock you want to be holding in a market rally!!! Its a stock you want to be holding in a flat or negative market, its a f***ing defensive stock."

No matter is a rally, flat or negative market, i still hold on to it.

His suggestion is quite right if you study PBBANK share price movement and P/E for the past 10 years.

you are too focusing on his blog/write-up, hence diverting all your energy to BASH it. Im not saying he's 100% correct, plus nobody is correct. 100%

nobody can be ultra rich by buying 100 shares of 1 company and hold on to it forever.  taking your case, what was PUBLIC Bank pricing prior to 1997? Until now, not even recovered 50% of the value, Imagine u bought at that time.

Bottom line : every1 have their own risk-appetite. Live with it.

If one bought at the highest price in 1997 (close to RM 3), now already profit more than 200%.

DanielW,

I think it is a lot more than that.  I bought RM7 about 3 years ago and I had collected about RM2 worth of dividend.  As per 1997, I think the stock had split a few times too.

Cherroy would know this.

The price which I quoted is after adjustment due to share splits or bonuses. If one hold the shares bought in 1997 until now, one would have profit already.

It's hard to predict the next quarterly result. I'm not good at it. Usually I use the current 4 quarterly results to calculate my intrinsic value. It works for me! =)

Me too. But I did not keep long as the price surge then I sold it to multiply my capital
*
Now it's a good time to buy back. It's selling below the average PE of 13.9 =)

haha. from 50 cents share become one ringgit share, a few round of bonus issues, handsome div......

How i wish Teh HP is 20 years younger but .........

So now hv to see wat is Teh exit strategy ...... and hopefully he get a good deal for the minority oso
*
Even if Teh resign, I believe Public Bank will continue to thrive because I believe his top management will continue to run this bank well. A well run business for decades won't suddenly collapse just because the founder is exiting the business. Look at Microsoft, Genting etc.
