I just only update to the v31 frimware...

Got one questio to ask.

i just now opened the media player to listen songs.When i open the player the player cant seem to follow my themes.it shows blue colour backdrop to the player and not my skin.The old frimware will follown the themes to the media player..Anyone facing the same problem is it only me.Did the update twice..Still the same..

Hie hie, i've just got my hands on an N95 (my mom likes erm... dumber phones) hehe, its a Euro set so i would just like to confirm that if i wanna display/input chinese i have to change the product code and update to the code's corresponding latest firmware. That sorta voids the warrenty (but considering i don't have warranty in the 1st place cos the phone itself is from London)

Thats about the only way right? @@ No softwares i can download to display chinese?

What if... my internet connection goes down in the middle of an update... is it possible for me to send an sos to the nokia service centre's near my place?

there are such software if I remember correctly.. but the one I come across is have to pay..

the best way is still change the region code n get those region with chinese input firmware...

IF ur internet connection goes down during the update, no worries, just restart the NSU and it will continue download the software then just load into ur phone. cos it download the software to ur com first then just update ur phone.
last time my 6500 slide update then sudden the internet dc, i quickly start NSU again then it continue the download, really scare my like hell

then after software update it should have chinese input cos its apac code if not mistaken.
but anyway i tried this code on my cuz's n95. no worries.

1. you must had a hacked s60v3 phone cos u need to access to Z:\SYS and C:\SYS, hints: HelloOX if you are on V31 fw

2. use any file explore, for me i use x-plore

3. look for 'Z:\Private\10202be9\101F8809.txt', copy it

4. then paste it to 'C:\Private\10202be9'

5. edit it, if u use x-plore then just highlight 'C:\Private\10202be9\101F8809.txt' and edit it. if u use x-plore just press 8 to edit it.

6. scroll to bottom and look for '0x7 int 1 0 cap_rd=alwayspass cap_wr=alwaysfail'

7. edit the 0x7 int 1 0 to 0


8. after that it become 0x7 int 0 0 cap_rd=alwayspass cap_wr=alwaysfail

9. SAVE it, DONT SAVE AS

10. restart your phone and activate the slient mode it wont have shutter sound anymore

anyway i saw this guide online and rearranged this guide by myself.

hey n95 users,
my friend just got himself a n95, comes with 1gb micro sd with quite a number of software inside including garmin. he just upgraded the 1gb to 4gb, but the problem is when he copied all the contents from the 1gb to the 4gb micro sd and use the 4gb in the hp, some programs can't run already, especially garmin. is there anyway to solve this?
