you are on the right track actually, but 0.5 cm isn`t much signal strength though, try positioning urself in a place where there is no tall buildings and under the clear sky

and have patient, it take sometimes to get connected

Most importantly make sure the phone is slide open. The GPS receiver antenna is located below the keypad area. You need to slide out to expose the keypad for better reception.

mm, could be your gps antenna problem.. the gps will only lock on satelites when they have constant full signals ( at least 3 ), anyway did u change ur cover or open your phone for fixing before?

anyway do try moving to other spots and see, could be several problems with the enviroment such as rocky hills and cloudy

anyway link for download N95-1 service manual, if u prefer DIY to fix your phone ( USEFUL!!!! even teach the bloody shop something new doh.gif )

Guys,

One quick question. I saw a few people here had their N95 change into black casing. Where do you guys buy it? Is the quality good and does it fit nicely? Also price please. Thanks.

Many shops do offer this service, however, the price range varies depending on the service charge and the casing quality, Nokia shops are normally expensive with price around rm 200 ++ however, u could DIY urself by just buying the housing and assembling urself, price around rm 70 can settle for a grade AAA casing

There are cheap housing just cost merely rm 18, but it sucks

Yes, download the service manual

http://rapidshare.com/files/39867364/N95_R...M_Level_1_2.pdf

it teaches u how to disassemble and reassemble Nokia N95

However, its not recommended if u are a noob in these, cz even experts may have difficulties in reassembling as in my case with the shop, my gps antenna and microphone is wrongly attached by them

apparently you can't.. no idea why this is so hard to implement... any pics or vids in your phone will came out in gallery... unless you put it in my videos folder... and that only hides it... you can't organize... really sucks!
