I think it's better than cinema quality, in some cinemas, the PQ is not good, there are "raining effects", maybe their screens are not good or dirty or the films are not all good??

So it's time for PoP to update his sig. wink.gif

The author in that article Star is chisin, if i read correctly, he said upconvert DVD is on par of HD format movie (his word: "i've found that i cant really tell the the difference between the picture cranked out by a Blu-ray player and the picture delivered by an "upconverting" DVD player....").. [i think he was using 21" CRT TV??] , & ppl prefer to download HD contents or online streaming HD video than having blu-ray or HD DVDs...
Maybe The Star juz simply extracted & printed some article from oversea & forgetting about our broadband situation here shocking.gif

Just got my Planet Earth during CNY and for those who is wondering if its worth the price, don't think anymore.

Its an awesome documentary. All my relatives were practically glued to the TV watching it.

Absolutely a breathtakingly astonishing documentary!! Seems like many scenes were shot from satellite??

Okie now, all "underground" factories, piratemasters, reverse engineering expertises etc.. in China can start full force focusing on cracking & hacking bluray format, disc, player, PS3 & etc now... then pls flood our hypermarkets with cheap blu-ray players & bringing us "engineered'..a'hem discs in all our local mamak outlets... tongue.gif
That was how DVD got popularised in Malaysia wink.gif wink.gif

We can help to popularise Hi Def. entertainment industries here very fast wink.gif wink.gif
