Don't forget that Sony or BDA still needs to change mindset that HD is needed. If they drive the price up, then the HD format will just die.

Thats a weird press release. It said Toshiba continues to champion consumer access to HD content but it did not say how in the press release.

The press release only talked about continued support for its HD-DVD players and also support for the DVD format. Misleading release!

It makes no sense to increase price or stop promotions just because its a single format. In fact, it should allow more stores to compete with pricing as they only need to worry about stocking a single format.

It is now time to make HD affordable not push the price sky high. I am sure the BDA has more sense in them.

Well, if MKV turns popular, companies will be making MKV-capable players pretty soon.

Macam DivX I am trying to cut off Uncle Ho so unless there are legal means for MKV.. I might as well just go BD.
