2600 is quoted frm A&L Audio. 2800 quoted frm Desa HT for V861. V1800 .. Desa HT quoted 4200 and Harvey Norman quoted 4300.

i am still scouting for the Onkyo SR605 b4 i make my decision. can PM me if you know to find one ? i heard there s a shoppe in SS2 specialize in Onkyo products ?
*
I got my V1800 below 4K at Desa. They did put 4.2k on the price tag, just need to talk them out to get the best price. Good luck.

But yes, the 605 can give your almost same features with lower price.

They have problems with the distributor, which keep changing.

The current one, they won't accept warranty claim for the units bought through previous distributor.

So the customers will have problems with after sales services, which in turn will only burden the retailers.

God only knows when the distributor will change again.

@Megatron,

Both Close Encounters and Pirates 3 (and the other Pirates, tongue.gif ) are excellent.

Go here for picture quality reference:

And here for audio:

For the content itself, I guess any movie site will do.

@RX,

Yours is from SG right? No need to worry. wink.gif

Sadly, the ID4 on BD is not the extended version. It's the same for Mr. And Mrs. Smith, FOX refused to release extended or unrated versions of their movies on BD, really potong steam ler. I worry 2-3 years later, they might rerelease these movies again on BD so in other words, you might be forced to buy twice for the extra content.  doh.gif
*
For ID4,

Region A is the extended version (147 minutes):

http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/movies.php?id=199
http://www.dvdspot.com/dvd.php?d=1430253441

Region B is he theatrical version (138 minutes):

Toshiba will stop manufacturing HD DVD related hardwares immediately, and stop selling them altogether by end of March.

That's really much sooner than I expected! thumbup.gif

Paramount/DreamWorks and Universal will have no choice but to drop the format too. There are already reports retailers in US that they're receiving inventories with Transformers listed on Blu-ray. wink.gif
