Yes...it's for your convenience of securing IPOs.
Or do you understand what is IPO in the first place? If you not know, here is it: http://www.google.com.my/search?hl=en&q=IP...nG=Search&meta= |

IPO = Initial Public Offer. This is when a company offers its shares to the public en-route to Bursa Malaysia.
eIPO basically simplifies the application for investors to subscribe to the IPO. You either do it at the ATM or through the Internet facilities of your banks. Used to be popular as striking IPO = striking 4D. Now have to be very careful..... QUOTE(spermatogenesis @ Jan 11 2008, 04:32 PM) |

I find eIPO's a very good thing. I use CIMB Investment Banks iTrade. You dont actually have to go physically and open a brokerage account to apply for an eIPO. All you need is a savings account. So from the money available in you savings account you can apply for the eIPO. There is currently an eIPO KEY ASIC BERHAD ("KEY ASIC") which will be listing on the Mesdaq market soon.

QUOTE(TopGunn @ Jan 11 2008, 10:40 PM) No CDS account also can?? How to trade just with saving account? CIMB Investment Bank will give you a CDS number. You dont have to physically/personally go to one of their branches. All you need to do is apply online. They already have all your date because you are an savings account holder. as i know, eIPO is online application via internal/atm of IPO, this is more convenience compare to conventional where u need to buy banker cheque & submit form. You can click here and register. Or call them up, I'm sure they are more than willing to help. http://www.eipocimb.com KLSE Stock Review |
