Sounds like my rabbits too. They're in my hometown in Penang now, my father takes care of them most of the time. They run freely in the backyard, not much attention except once in a while go and sayang them, stroke stroke, hug and all. And they like to sneak into the house to steal the veggies that my mom put on the floor to dry before packaging into the fridge too!
As for chewing cactus, my rabbits tried that before. It stopped trying to chew cactus after it got pricked by a sharp-needled cactus once.
Then again, my bf's rabbits chewed (and crunched) on the plastic beads on my tshirt once!
