It's a bit big for an angora
(It's an angora right?) ![]() Strong winds The ear is there, but it usually likes to keep it behind its fur. Really small ears. You can actually see a bit of it on the 2nd photo This post has been edited by Stalvros: Jun 14 2008, 12:33 AM |

I just bought the rabbit cage. They seem to enjoy it.
The cage was bought today and i set it up this morning. They seem to like it too Carpet PEED on the spot nearest to the food (to mark his territory)..... as always No wonder Carpet seems WAYYY fatter compared to Marble. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() By the way, does anyone know when Marble's other ear will flop? She's only 7 weeks old for now. As can be seen from the picture, only 1 of its ear is flopped. |

Oh, that's just their 'sleeping' cage lol.
It's actually in the balcony (There's not much space in Singapore). So for exercise purpose, I usually bring them down to the garden for about 10-20 minutes to exercise (Any longer and there will be risk of them catching heat wave). During these times, they get a LOT of attention from the crowd. I think Carpet is more anti-social though. Marble just LOVES the attention. Carpet is Male, Marble is Female. Hmmm so it will take a while for the ear to lop eh?
That's ok, it just looks very uneven at the moment With regards to pregnant, that's alright XD My elder sis says that she wants one of the child for herself. What's the max baby bunnies that a rabbit could give birth to anyways? |

Lol, not to worry 11Jan.
I've already thought of those things before With regards of separating, my balcony has enough space for it. With regards to babies, each of my siblings and cousins wants one. And i have like a lot of cousins They're very good owners too (Dont worry, i dont plan to make marble pregnant 12 times a year hahaha) The only thing that i am unsure of would be just the process at the moment. So i'll just separate them for now. I'll have a read up on it first. Added on June 19, 2008, 4:20 pmSo weird though, at the moment marble just doesn't want to be separated from carpet at all! Like, it will try to jump and scratch here and there. It will even SHRIEK and make some funny high pitched noise when separated When we got them, they were in 1 container. Maybe they're too used being with each other Carpet wont shriek but will wander around and wont relax at all when separated (Won't even touch his food which is VERY RARE in his case) This post has been edited by Stalvros: Jun 19 2008, 04:20 PM |

QUOTE(kenji_britney @ Jun 19 2008, 04:32 PM) http://www.rabbit.org/behavior/body-language.html hahahaha yeah ill tryhmm it says Shrill scream — Hurt or dying but it is a different case for you. i guess it'll be quite hard to separate them both, maybe slowly do it la, not so suddenly split them up. like let's say start of by not letting them play together at the garden? my initial plan is actually to separate them BUT beside each other. (Something like how you separate fighting / betta fishes but you dont put anything in the middle to hinder their visual?) That ALMOST work.......... until marble started shrieking again I think marble just wants carpet as a cushion as shown in the picture. Marble does that A LOT of times. 2 days ago marble slept on top of carpet too. |

QUOTE(kenji_britney @ Jun 19 2008, 04:42 PM) lol i a bit kesian carpet la.. really treated as a carpet literally speaking haha. well maybe that separating idea can come later on and see if she will stop the shrieking. just do it slowly la, it can't happen overnight. I think it just misses carpet's mother.I recall the shop keeper told me that carpet's mother was the one that took care of marble AND carpet. (Quite amazed carpet's mum didn't just eat marble up) But yeah, i bet marble slept on carpet's mum far too much when it was young has any 'blood-relation' to marble at all) I saw carpet's mum before, even took picture. She looks like this; ![]() ![]() I have a feeling that carpet's going to look something like that when he grows. Doesn't look like rabbit Oh, their full names are Carpet -> Carpetto Stalvros Marble -> Marbella Stalvros |

Website updated, be sure to visit
http://stalvrospets.blogspot.com/ Let me know if you guys have your own rabbit blogs so that i can edit it to my page~ Added on June 21, 2008, 2:01 am QUOTE(hanim_ab @ Jun 20 2008, 08:34 PM) hello guys....anyway finding for rabbit...which one most expensive????and....i saw someone selling giant rabbit...can grow to 5kg....but the feather is short not like angora... Yeah i think it depends~In Singapore, do NOT go to those pet store in shopping malls. They are VERY VERY expensive. I saw angora-lop being sold for SG$280.00 each and people still buy them. It also depends on TRENDS! According to the shop owner, the trend now (In Singapore) is Lion, Dwarf and Lop. Angora used to be a trend last year but not so this year. I saw an Angora rabbit being sold for SG$180.00 each in 'Pet Lovers Center' (12 months old) (They have branches in Malaysia and Singapore too) The expensive ones are Lion, Dwarf and Lop in Singapore. Also, bunnies are generally more expensive then rabbits. Pure Bred are also generally more expensive then mix. Like in 'Pet Lovers Center', a PURE BRED Lion bunny would've cost like SG$440.00 and people still buy them. I bought my Carpet for SG$100.00 (Pure Lion) and my Marble for SG$70.00 (Angora mix Lop) I got them cheap because they're self-bred (Not bought from shops) and that the owner advertised them. This is carpet and marble when they are 3 weeks old (or was it 4) ![]() ![]() You can see them more at the video; http://stalvrospets.blogspot.com/ This post has been edited by Stalvros: Jun 21 2008, 02:19 AM |

I know a lot of people that wants to buy rabbits because they're cute~
And then goes on to leave them after that (Not implying that you're one of em) But yeah, their pee are PHEW~ If you want a single rabbit, get female~ They spray less pee then the male one~ |

I need more info on bathing rabbit~
Or rather, to remove yellow stains on their feet At the moment the cage i have is small for them (Well, its ok since they're still small but they'll need a bigger cage when they grow up) My plan at the moment is to just train them to use the potty first. And then perhaps let them roam around the kitchen without having them to poop/pee everywhere but the potty. But yeah i still need to know how to remove those yellow stains on the feet (I know lots of people say that its normal) (But i guess its just psychologically cleaner) |

Thanks again for the tip 11Jan,
You're very helpful as always Umm, the shop that i went too recommended me this 'FOAM WASH' Some sort of 'dry shower shampoo' that's used for cats as well~ Can you tell me more about this dry shampoo thingy? Better yet if you could give me an online site where i can purchase 'em (Must be able to ship to Singapore) Otherwise just a picture so that i can print them and show it to the employee working at the shop? |
