I got a Q, what's the average price for a pair of lionhead rabbit? i went to the pet wonderland at midvalley and found that that rex price is so expensive.. can't afford to have it right now.. choose lionhead instead.. but since ppl told me pet wonderland always expensive, now wonder what about lionhead?

mr.pipo, if you having hard time trying to buy a rabbit, do consider the cost of maintaining them... at times they are quite pricey also... big packet of good bedding litter cost about RM 50, big box of hay coz about RM 50 - 60 and good packet of pellets cost RM 20 onwards... one time cost that you need to consider would be the cage, litter box, water bottle and maybe toys and etc.... not including the vet fees, least you need annual check-up should be less than RM 50 or so... neuter/spay cost some money too... FYI, rabbit can live up to 8-12 years if taken care properly... Hope you consider all these

I'm planning to use DIY cage since it's much cheaper.. I'll ask my dad about vet.. last time he did sent the mother rabbit to Jabatan Haiwan..

bedding is good for absorbing the pee and the smell away and also keep your rabbit clean as they will not step on the pee or what not... hay is suppose to be the main food for domestic rabbit... feeding them with hay will not only guarantee good health in general but also prevent them from tooth problem as the gnawl those hay... there are other benefits too if you search at the first page... as a owner it's really up to you to decide what's best for your rabbit...

Rabbits dont need bedding litter unless u plan to toilet train, but they need hay to eat. Its their main diet so its a must, although it can be pricey

I have not seen much of this Kaytee pellet around but looking at their website, I believe the guarantee analysis is the best of the worst out of all the rabbit pellets available locally. Is it easily available in all petshops or only certain petshops carry this brand? If I ever run out of Oxbow, I'll need to get this best of the worst brand. LOL..... The protein level is high because they use alfafa as main ingredient. I believe there is not enough timothy hay to go around to produce good pellets out of them. Wonder when will the day arrive when Oxbow is widely available in Malaysia and all those good for nothing brands from Japan can go to hell for all I care....totally hopeless. Malaysia RABBIT community NEEDS OXBOW or American Pet DINERS!!!!!!!! argGGhHHhhhhHHhh....so damn frustrating....can't even get good RABBIT pellets in MALAYSIA.....everything else BOLEH but rabbit pellet TAK BOLEH.....
