What joke?
Who's making joke? Didn't you just asked how to make pellets? Unless you are referring to the pellets as in POO, then it is very simple. Poo are sometimes referred to as pellet or in a nicer term DOODIE (www.doodie.com is very nice website). Human poo (pellet) can be made in the toilet and rabbit poo (pellet) can be found in their litter tray. Hope you choose the right way to make a pellet either one or the other. I would suggest you use a playpen to enclose a small area instead of letting him roam in the playground just like that. May get run over by car.
QUOTE(je5sie @ Jun 1 2008, 11:39 PM) Hi Hi ppl, I've brought my Piggy out to a playground nearby. His first encounter with grass field. All the while he stays in my house with tiles, haha.. he didn't know how to walk/hop on the grass!! Blur case stand there for a long time before he dare to move around.. ![]() Look at how blur was he, haha... When I let him play on the grass actually I was a bit worried he might just run off.. hard to catch him back.. But instead he run about then turn back to me and sit next to my leg.. Even jump on my lap and sort of ask me to carry him. haha, that's the fun thing of having a pet.. Piggy is a good rabbit. |

What you feed until got diarrhea for a week?
And never do the necessary like bring to vet and stop food to give hay? You just left him to die? Coz you did not mention here earlier. If you mention here at least people here can help give some advice..... QUOTE(pancho @ Jun 2 2008, 10:41 AM) This post has been edited by sangterap: Jun 2 2008, 10:46 AM |

Pls stop feeding fresh vegetables if you are.
Stop rabbit pellet for 1 day. Young rabbit give more alfafa hay. if adult give more timothy hay. Rehydration is most important here. make sure you provide the rabbit with a lot of water. Use water bowl instead of water bottle. This is a very good article that may help: http://www.thenaturetrail.com/Holland-Lops-and-Diarrhea.htm Your rabbit may have left its mommy too young. try to stabilize the stomach first. Good luck. YES. To the vets NOW!!!!
Do you mean cecal or diarrhea? Cecal are those that look like a bunch of grapes, soft and dark. If you are already feeding Alfalfa hay then your rabbit may be one of those that cannot take too much alfalfa as it may be too rich for them. try to mix with other hay like timothy, orchard or botanical hay. if a rabbit super healthy, you should not see cecal lying around because they are eaten back by the rabbit. Rabbits must eat back their cecal because it contains important nutrients. When you start seeing them lying around especially in young rabbits, it would mean there are excess. Why excess most probably due to diet.
I have also encountered male rabbit marking territory with cecals too. Just once for that particular rabbits, after that uses normal poo to mark already. QUOTE(annetize @ Jun 3 2008, 08:59 AM) If you rabbits is a young rabbit, it could be that he/she has been separated with its mother too young (before 8 weeks) and the good/bad bacteria in the stomach has not been established well. The bad bacteria has build up and therefore, the diarrhea is caused by that. The sad thing about the general public's knowledge about rabbit diet is totally hopeless. Feeding kangkung and carrots are MITOS/MYTH. It is more of a mother goose believe than fact. In the 1st page of this thread, there is a link to vegetables suitable for ADULT rabbits. Never feed young rabbits fresh vege/fruits. Always start off Hay as soon as you reach home. You have to be vigilant. If you see excessive cecal, then give less alfalfa (high in protein) and put in some other high fiber hay like Timothy/Orchard etc. I know the cowboy towns like ipoh/taiping do not have good rabbit products. Get in touch with the pet stores there. Research more on your own and educate the pet stores. So that you can do justice for the rabbit community there. GET THEM TO CARRY good rabbit products. GET IN touch with those selling those product so they can ship them to you. POS laju postage cost a few more ringgit only on top of your purchases.... Ask daddy for more pocket money to buy good food for rabbit okie? QUOTE(pancho @ Jun 3 2008, 09:53 AM) i already bring him to vet.. but he still get diarrhea.. This post has been edited by sangterap: Jun 3 2008, 11:19 AMi post a thread, but doesnt help much.... i bought him last week,n then i give them eat kangkung..only once.. the next morning he get diarrhea..then, i give them eat pllet which the rabbit seller gave to me n then i bring him to vet..he become ok for a day then get diarrhea back..so me n my father drive to ipoh to buy alfafa hay so that he not die, becos i think his stmach cant digest the pllet(in taiping there's no one sell alfafa hay). when i give them eat alfafa hay,he diarhea become worst n die the next morning. Whats make me confuse is, other HL and anggora just find and active but only he died. |

You are not crazy, we are all here because of our rabbits.
It is a good way of loving your rabbit with great knowledge and provide the best. I hope to see many owners like you in Malaysia in near future. I believe it needs a lot of education. But through word of mouth, I believe it is possible... QUOTE(lm_meileng @ Jun 3 2008, 12:33 PM) |
