Well sometimes you do gain something from the AGM besides 'makan-makan', I remember a client who attended AirAsia AGM 2 years back got a nice surprise from the company.

According to her ( the client ) at that time a few shareholders - including her - came for the AGM and after some speeches the CEO told everybody who attended today's AGM will be given a free return trip to China nod.gif

I dont know what does "Share Option Scheme" mean... can anyone help me please?  many thanks!
is this good/bad ?
*
Quite simply it refers to shares that are allotted to the people who's working in that particular company. There are Executive SOC and then there Employee's SOC. The allotment depends on the number of years one is working for that company and also one's position.

A Public Bank Berhad's officer may be allotted for example 4000 of PBB @ 7.20. He/she may then apply for this application through PBB itself. He/she can use his/her own money or apply for loan at certain % rate of interest.

I have a friend working as a Project Manager in CIMB who's laughing his way all the way to the bank with his 15,000 share of CIMB that he applied under ESOS.

But not all are sunshine for this ESOS. Remember Bursa Malaysia when it was at trading above RM15.00, sometimes in 2006-2007. If during that times say an employee of Bursa Malaysia decided to take up on the offer for ESOS @ RM11.50 and applied for loan to finance his/her ESOS, then he/she will be at bank's mercy paying for interest and no able to sell the shares at current level.

Is it possible to transfer shares between 2 different individual ie. from my mother to myself?
What documents do i have to submit?
Any difference in procedures if the transferor and transferee are related?
May I know how much does it cost?
*
Transfer of shares can only be made between close family members. So like in you case - mother to son - it is possible. Just go to the broking firm where you mum bought that shares.

* You will be charged RM10 per share transfer.
* Bring along any documents that show proof of your relationship : i.e birth certificate
* Your mum ( transferor ) must sign the transfer form and the broking firm will first need to verify her signature.

Actually you ( transferee ) and your mum ( transferor ) do not need to be presence to make the transfer. If you have a good rapport with your remisier, he can do all that for you. Just give all the above documents and transfer fee to him to complete the transfer.

thanks. but my mother and I have different remisiers. Given this scenario any complications or added steps?

thanks in advance.

Doesn't matter if the both of you have different remisiers. for a transfer to be completed it's the transferor ( in this case you mum ) who must do the necessary ( sign the form, pay the transfer fee and show documented proof ).

You can ask your mum to go to the broking house where she bought her shares or see her remisier with all the necessary stuff and the transfer can be made immediately to your account.

On your part...you just goyang kaki and just call your remisier the day business day to check whether the shares are inside your account...that's all.
