Should I go for let's say, PB Sharelink or the likes,

Will there be tax exemption for Nominee a/c as the dividen will be bank in directly into the account?

Thanks in advanced. notworthy.gif

It has nothing to do with tax issue. Dividend is taxed in the first place before sending out/dispatching.

For nominee, the dividend is as same as ordinary direct account, just it sends to the PB broker instead to you individually, and then the brokers bank into your account.

Thanks! I'm new to this. But since we are the nominee and not holding the real shares, the tax rebate will be under whoever that is holding the shares. In this case, the bank. So the bank gets the tax rebate and the balance is banked into our account.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Dividend Voucher

Dividen on 10,000 shares : RM10,000.00
Less: Malaysian Tax at 25% : RM2,500.00
Net Dividend due to you : RM7,500.00

My question is,

For Direct a/c, one can make claim for the tax.

What about for Nominee a/c? Since the shares are under the organisation name, the tax deduction will benefit organisation. We the nominee, will get the balance RM7,500. Can we still file the RM2,500 tax for the HK3 tax form?

I hope my question is not too confusing. icon_question.gif

Always the deemed shareholder (mean not nominee) can claim the tax.

Thanks for the reply. That means, for long term investor, it's better to get a direct a/c.

What determines the market price? Say for example in an ideal scenario

All Seller wants to sell at 1.20 . All Buyer wants to buy at 0.80 . Nobody is willing to budge from their price. What/who will determine the price of the share then?

Since there is no match. Then in my opinion, the price should just stick to where it is, since nobody is buying or selling cos no match. Am I right to say that?

Yup.
No match no transaction, so nothing moves.

THanks for your reply!

So in that case, am I right to say that if there is a fall, it's because ppl start selling at a lower and lower price?

Ya, correct.

Price up is because many buyers interest to buy the shares, so the sellers sell at high price and then more high price. Demand > Supply

Price down is because little buyers interest to buy the shares, so the sellers sell at low price and then more low price. Supply > Demand

Just like many people want to buy fish, so fish will be expensive !

Let say buyer want buy at 0.50, but seller want sell at 0.80, then no transaction/trading done. Untill the buyer and seller price are same.

Thanks for your reply.

That's the case, what makes the price in the stock market goes up or down if both buyer and seller are adamant on their respective price?

Then the market price will stay at the previous prices while the buyer and seller queue blink blink. No transaction means no movement.

ic... appreciate your help.

Let's say I want to buy 1000 lots.
But there's only small time seller like 20 seller selling only 3 lot = total 60 lots (20*3)
Plus there will also be buyer, maybe 10 buyer buying at various lots.
End of day I still could not get 1000 lots.
Will I get 60 lots or none? and how long will my buy/sell queue be in the system?

In that case, if someone wants to 'manipulate' the price, he/she can sell at a lower price, maybe just 100 shares to bring the price down?

Repeat the steps at a lower price than the previous. Keep doing it (selling small amount 100 shares at lower price) until the price falls down???

if the seller's price matched your price, then 60 lots will be transacted. If both the prices different, means no transaction done, unwilling buyer & unwilling seller..

And let's say if it is done, then you only get 60 lots since there are no no sellers wanting to sell the remaining 940 lots to u..
The buy/sell queue is clear at the end of each trading day. If your 940 lots are not done, it wont carry forward to the next trading day..

It is very hard to manipulate the price bcoz the share market is very, very big..unless he has a lot of funds.
When the price gets lower and lower, soon it will attract buyers..
Have you study Economics b4?
