That is why those holding Master or whatever in Investing are not guaranteed to be Billionaires.

Could stand a higher chance than the rest.

Yes, i agree with it so far i ask 7 PhD holder (in finance, invmst & accounting) all saying the same "NO GUARANTEE" especially in stocks investing.

how much you money u put into ur trust account? is it possible to play stock market with 4k of money?
*
Yes possible. But your stock pick & entry price must accurate & ngam2.

U may oso look at penny stock - some good fundamental oso but you need spend time to find one. With oni $4K, u must buy then within a few days that stock goes up. I invested $7400 with 9 penny stocks but oni 2 counters run in green since day 1 bought (paper profit 40%-48%). The other 7 counters oni s'times in red and s'times in green too.

Hope u make it. My beginner tot.

Hi all =),

regarding the buying and selling procedures, both of them require T+3 each?so,what if ive predicted that the shares will drop on day1,so i contacted the broker and said that i would like to sell out all the shares, but then the procedures require 3 processing days, does it mean that i will face a total loss of 3days??

what shares are recommended for a moderate investor?

info:im still a student, without any experience and about to get headaches due to tons and tons of information regarding shares, but then i would like to start learning and get involved in investments  blush.gif

Thanks:)

Hi, where can I find good resource dedicated to trading Malaysian warrants?

I have limited capital and CW offers the greatest potential returns for my capital. But I understand as well the mechanics for CW is different from normal shares.

There are tons of resources online for Options trading, but I can't find any decent sites dedicated to trading Msian warrants. Any ideas?

Hi Sifu,

How to calculate the fair value for each share ? so that we know what is the discount for current share price ?

Thank you !
*
U may calculate it by this way ;

(% Net Profit + % Dividends) / Price to Book = Answer vs Quote Price

Those infor U may digest from Annual Report or Quaterly Report.

However, most of the time i just close my eyes and buy tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif

Anyone who are into value investing, know what is the formula to calculate the intrinsic value of the stock.
*
(% Net Profit + % Dividends) / Price to Book = Result VS stock price that u r targeting.

Formula of value stock pick used by Warren Buffet but this is basic only.

Most of the time, they used more advanced formula including maths formula. rclxub.gif

For my case, most of the time i close my eyes & buy or sell.. tongue.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

They still useful for u to dig offmarket information faster such as who got private placement, who buying, who selling, odd lots transaction, what is the latest rumours, who goreng that stocks, who stocking up those counters & waiting to dump at what price (most likely).......who landing at 52 week low, who reach 52 new high...bla bla bla bla

In short, they still useful..

I saw this announcement from my trade platform OSK188.com (maybe some of you already read it)....

28 Mar 11 - In conjunction with the implementation of replacement of Session Order with Day Order targeted on 18 April 2011, please be informed that once implemented all unmatched orders (limit and market orders) entered during first session will be automatically carried forward by the Bursa Trade Securities (BTS) trading system and shall be considered as valid for whole trading day. Also, a single trading limit shall be applied for the whole trading day:

Trading limit for New Listing including IPO:

Above RM 1.00 - Limit Up : 400%; Limit Down : 30%.
Below RM 1.00 - Limit Up : 400% or minimum 30 cents whichever is higher; Limit Down : 30% or minimum 30 cents whichever is higher.
Trading limit for Existing stock:

Above RM1.00 - Limit Up : 30%; Limit Down : 30%.
Below RM1.00 - Limit Up : 30 cents; Limit Down : 30 cents

I got a question on what is actually the bold part ? Kind like blur to understand, i guess this is a new ruling. Thanks icon_question.gif

This is still same, just previously counted per session, now change to per day.

eg. stock closed Rm1.
Old
Morning limit up Rm1.30, if reach, after can limit up another 30% aka 1.30 x 1.3 = Rm1.69, max the stock that can achieve for whole day

New
Max limit up for the day = Rm1.30.
