QUOTE(masterjedi @ May 10 2009, 12:19 AM)
im very confius with how the system macthed the stock for me. for ur information i'm retail account holder im not using margin account.
for example one

ABC share buy at 1000 unit at 5/5/2009 (already pickup) price rm 1.00
ABC share buy at 1000 unit at 7/5/2009 (outstanding) price rm 0.90
when i sell on  10/5/2009 with the system will macthed form me  the outstanding share or the stock that have been alredy pickup?
example 2
ABC share buy at 1000 unit at 5/5/2009 price rm1.50 (outstanding)
ABC share buy at 1000 unit at 6/5/2009 price rm1.00 (outstanding)
when i sell 1000 at 7/5/2009 unit ABC share which date it will macth the 5/5/2009 or 6/5/2009.
can i ask my remiser to macthed the buy and sell using manually,  because my remiser told me i cannot do that because im not using margin account.
need help.. from u all
*
the date u buy doesnt matters, because ur buying the same stock. stock ABC brought on 5/5 is 100% identical with stock ABC u brought on 6/5. there is no way to difference them.

example 2:
ABC share buy at 1000 unit at 5/5/2009 price rm1.50 (outstanding)
ABC share buy at 1000 unit at 6/5/2009 price rm1.00 (outstanding)

summary:
u will have 2000 share of average buy price of 1.25
even if u sell 1000 at 7/5/2009 at example price 1.20 (u still suffer loses without any profit because its RM1.20 is lower than ur average buy price.)

Hmm.. I'm a total newb to stock investing, and I'm currently trying to figure out where I can have a nice calender of important dates: especially quarterly report & AGMs, for any company.

Any pointers from sifus out here?

no such thing , unless u work in the company, got insider information.

we usually guess....

example:

Thursday, 31 May 2012 5:19PM 1Q net profit 572.000 million (increased 6.12%)
Friday, 24 Feb 2012 5:13PM Financial year end net profit 2.527 billion (increased 10.11%)
Wednesday, 30 Nov 2011 5:03PM Nine-month net profit 1.627 billion (decreased 3.44%)
Thursday, 25 Aug 2011 12:37PM 1H net profit 1.090 billion (increased 0.55%)

this one is for maxis, we can guess the next quarter report will be on (24-31 August 2012)

Hye, i'm newbie here try to ask noob questions.

What is the minimum amount if i want to invest? is it possible if i have 2k? let say i'm not a person who want a quick return thus looking for a cheap one

How to calculate? do i need remisier?

:: 2k is my guinea pig actually. just try my luck

actually, to enjoy a pure 0.42% brokerage charge (0.42% min rm 12), usually people trades shares at RM 2857 for buy and sell orders.
12x100/0.42=RM2857

reason for this is if your true brokerage is 0.42%, the stock you hold need to rise 0.84% to break even (buy 0.42% sell 0.42%)

example:
if you buy a stock RM 500 , brokerage RM 12, to break even, the stock value needs to rise to rm524, which is 4.8% rise
