in our trading platforms 1 lot = 100 units , so yeah 100 lots = 10000 units.

but, in conversation, most (older) ppl still refer to 1 lot as 1000 units, because the change was recent .. i think it was in 07.

ur quote (besides that, lets say u click a stock. then u see the stock chart. u would see the graph and remarks on the left.

what i dont understand is, it wrote seller price at rm4.10.... buyer price at rm3.99.

what exactly does it means. someone sell at rm4.10? but if someone sells, then another will buy. so why call it seller price.)

seller price meaning is 4.10 is the sellers A want to let go its shares at this price.

buying price meaning is 3.99 is the price B buyers want to buy !!!!

conclusion is A and B person is not refering to the sales was transacted in between them.... it's only the queing to sell or buy..... they (shares) just sit in there if nobody want to cut q and buy at 4.10 (from seller A) or sell at 3.99 (to buyer B)

got the picture? icon_rolleyes.gif icon_idea.gif

Why must we break even ? To give the broker ?

loss, breakeven, profit ......

loss=u sell lesser than ur buying price, lose on brokerage fess too (buy and sell fees)
breakeven=u sell slighty higher than the buying price...... and ngam ngam cover ur buying and selling broker fees(commision for trading)
profit=sell way higher than ur buying price after reduce the buy and sell broker fees.
