Am curious is there any difference in owning a share from stockmarket & owning shares as a shareholder?

Shareholder gets annual dividends while also have the option to buy/sell their shares but do owning shares from stockmarket provide dividends or you can just buy & sell your share for profits?

Can you enter the board if you become a major shareholder by buying alot in the market?

If we want dividend how do we get it or the company will automatic transfer dividends into your account?
