QUOTE(YuNGSeNG @ May 8 2009, 10:34 PM) Ya, correct. Thanks for your reply.Price up is because many buyers interest to buy the shares, so the sellers sell at high price and then more high price. Demand > Supply Price down is because little buyers interest to buy the shares, so the sellers sell at low price and then more low price. Supply > Demand Just like many people want to buy fish, so fish will be expensive ! Let say buyer want buy at 0.50, but seller want sell at 0.80, then no transaction/trading done. Untill the buyer and seller price are same. That's the case, what makes the price in the stock market goes up or down if both buyer and seller are adamant on their respective price? |

No transaction means no movement. ic... appreciate your help.Let's say I want to buy 1000 lots. But there's only small time seller like 20 seller selling only 3 lot = total 60 lots (20*3) Plus there will also be buyer, maybe 10 buyer buying at various lots. End of day I still could not get 1000 lots. Will I get 60 lots or none? and how long will my buy/sell queue be in the system? No transaction means no movement. In that case, if someone wants to 'manipulate' the price, he/she can sell at a lower price, maybe just 100 shares to bring the price down? Repeat the steps at a lower price than the previous. Keep doing it (selling small amount 100 shares at lower price) until the price falls down??? Added on May 11, 2009, 12:57 pmbtw, i hope it's not illegal to ask this question. This post has been edited by orangutan: May 11 2009, 12:57 PM |

QUOTE(orangutan @ May 11 2009, 12:53 PM) ic... appreciate your help. if the seller's price matched your price, then 60 lots will be transacted. If both the prices different, means no transaction done, unwilling buyer & unwilling seller..Let's say I want to buy 1000 lots. But there's only small time seller like 20 seller selling only 3 lot = total 60 lots (20*3) Plus there will also be buyer, maybe 10 buyer buying at various lots. And let's say if it is done, then you only get 60 lots since there are no no sellers wanting to sell the remaining 940 lots to u.. The buy/sell queue is clear at the end of each trading day. If your 940 lots are not done, it wont carry forward to the next trading day.. It is very hard to manipulate the price bcoz the share market is very, very big..unless he has a lot of funds. When the price gets lower and lower, soon it will attract buyers.. Have you study Economics b4? This post has been edited by Ranny: May 11 2009, 01:25 PM |

QUOTE(masterjedi @ May 11 2009, 09:57 PM) hai everyone You already pick up 2000 units shares. Why want to worry the system will match which one ?just want ask again about how system macthed the sell stock example; 1000 unit kencana at 1.70 5/5/2009 (already pay) 1000 unit kencana at 1.75 6/5/2009 (already pay) sell kencana 1000 unit at 1.82 on 15/5/2009. which date the system will macthed the 1.70 5/5/2009 or 1.75 6/5/2009. Since no outstanding, then system will just deduct 1000 unit shares from your CDS account. Correct me if I'm wrong. |

QUOTE(masterjedi @ May 11 2009, 10:53 PM) first thanks for reply. The system will only record that u have bought 2000 units and there is a balance of 2000 units in ur CDS account. So when u sell, all they do is deduct 1000 units and pay you for the 1000 units u sold (which is at 1.82).but which one the system will match the 1000 unit of 1.70 or 1000 unit of 1.75? im big confius. or system will make an avarage price for 2000 unit at the diffrent date and macthe it with the selling price 1.82 and 1000 unit? |

The system only registered how many share you have. or the system with also using FIFO for the already pickup share that mean it will take the first 1000 share that have been clear if nothing outstading share is around. They don't know how much you bought, they don't care. (if have paid and pick up) It is your own calculation, which whether match which one on your own side, doesn't matter, it is same. The system only care about the outstanding share you have not paid, which they will offset the outstanding share first if you sell. This post has been edited by cherroy: May 12 2009, 10:05 AM |

for beginners who are just starting, do u want my excel sheet? i sorta created one myself, its rough, but i use it all the time with no problems. Can help calculate your projected profits by inputting buying price, quantity, target price, etc. lol, i created one myself the moment i started trading in KLSE. its not 100% accurate tho the calculations since i didnt account for stamp duty, but its very lil, RM1 per RM1k per transaction of buy or sell. want?
