QUOTE(cherroy @ Feb 4 2009, 02:36 PM) Yes, if your tax bracker is 19% (let say), then you can claim back the extra 6% being paid. But if the dividend is declared under the new single tier system (which start from 2008, company start to using it and compulsory to be used after 2013), then you no claim back is allowed. But how come there r still a lot of companies wic r not applying the single tier system (ex: the recent final div by PBBANK) QUOTE(htt @ Feb 4 2009, 07:47 PM) You still can claim, the money will remain there until you ask for refund or use to offset you tax payable in future. - Can a student register as a tax payer too? - Another Q is, let's say i received my final div on Mar 09 but i'd submitted my BE form on Feb 09... so does it mean that i need to declare the final div next yr (even though the final div is frm financial yr 08)?

So long the company accumulate a lot of S44 tax credit in previous years, they can distribute imputation dividend until exhaust of credit. Technically yes. You received in March 09, then should declare in 10, cannot declare in 09.

Quote from investopedia: QUOTE What Does Premium Mean? 1. The total cost of an option.
2. The difference between the higher price paid for a fixed-income security and the security's face amount at issue.
3. The specified amount of payment required periodically by an insurer to provide coverage under a given insurance plan for a defined period of time. The premium is paid by the insured party to the insurer, and primarily compensates the insurer for bearing the risk of a payout should the insurance agreement's coverage be required.
Investopedia explains Premium 1. The premium of an option is basically the sum of the option's intrinsic and time value. It is important to note that volatility also affects the premium.
2. If a fixed-income security (bond) is purchased at a premium, existing interest rates are lower than the coupon rate. Investors pay a premium for an investment that will return an amount greater than existing interest rates.
3. A common example of an insurance premium comes from auto insurance. A vehicle owner can insure the value of his or her vehicle against loss resulting from accident, theft and other potential problems. The owner usually pays a fixed premium amount in exchange for the insurance company's guarantee to cover any economic losses incurred under the scope of the agreement

Sorry guys, got a question reading analysis chart. lets say a stock today closes at 12.50 , just .05 under the pressure price at 12.55. Support is at 11.95. No. of lots at the pressure point is only 3085, and at the support price is 79744, closing price ,no. of lots is 21919.
What does it say about the trend of this stock for near future , eg. the next day?
Does it mean the stock will down fall definitely??

TA is not a foolproof indicator, it just give you some clue how potential the movement will be and the trend of it. We can't say it definite fall, next day volume might rise or market sentiment is good, then it might just break the upside with ease.

All sifus:
I called to OSK regard my trading acct and they just completed and pay for me the CDS fees, how long do i need to wait to receive the ID.
Another question as i am reading stock investment blog. in order to gain aka profit from share. We need either high capital or the stock counter we purchase have high diff. Put TNB as an example: In Scenerio A, tough buy in at 5.8 n sell at 6.1 with 200 lot, i won;t earn but still loose in term of fees. While Scenerio B, i can get +ve margin if i buy at same price 5.8 with 400 shares and get 58 back.
Scenario A:
BUY TNB Price : 5.8 Lot : 200 Shares : 1160 SELL TNB Price : 6.1 Lot : 200 Shares: 1220 BUY+SELL FEES: 62 Proceed: 60 Lost : -2
Scenario B: Price: 5.8 Lot 400 Shares 2320 SELL TNB Price : 6.1 Lot : 400 Shares : 2440 BUY+SELL FEES: 62 Proceed : 120 Profit : 58 Meaning to say we need more capital to really gain is it..? Pls correct me.
