If not mistaken, nextview software provide sophisticated charting tools for analysis.
While most other online platform provide simple charting. Mostly it is used for trading purpose and to watch stocks online.
Im not sure whether nextview provide other functions beside charting. IMHO, chartnexus does provide useful charting tools and it is FREE ! biggrin.gif

Dear Cikgu(s),

I have a question wrt to dividend and their tax computation.

Lets say I receive a dividend from counter X for RM 100 less 25% tax = RM 75.00.

My personal tax bracket is less than 25%, can I claim back the differences? If yes, how?

Xuzen

Yes, if your tax bracker is 19% (let say), then you can claim back the extra 6% being paid.

But if the dividend is declared under the new single tier system (which start from 2008, company start to using it and compulsory to be used after 2013), then you no claim back is allowed.

That's one of the drawbacks of being a student. Nway, u got no income, so, there's nothing that can be deducted.

You still can claim, the money will remain there until you ask for refund or use to offset you tax payable in future.

I think you have to claim in the same basis year, example dividends received in basis year 2008 must be claimed in your basis year 2008 returns, you can't claim in 2009 or later basis years.

You still can claim one or two year later, the form got some part to allow you to modify the past year income, but if you are claiming income donkey years back, maybe you have to go IRB... haha...

Just to have clarification on this issue, how much the donkey years up to? 7 years? Surely got some limit, otherwise, somebody suddenly come to claim back those 10+ years old story or longer than that. tongue.gif
Then headache for them already.

Be regulation, we are supposed to keep record up to 7 years from the date we were last requested to furbish them to IRB tongue.gif
That's why I suggest to claim as soon as possible, less hassle, less headache tongue.gif
