when you submit your income tax return form, then you can fill up the detail of your dividend, where the claim back will be calculated as well.

hi can somebody explain to me the concept of bids/offers?

from what i understand, BID is the max price that a person is willing to pay for a particular stock while OFFER is the min price a person is willing to get for a the stock. so in my OSK online trading window. i see something like this

BIDS/OFFERS 3buy 2buy 1buy last 1sell 2sell 3sell
Price 2.5 2.6 2.7 2.8 2.8 2.9 3
Quantity 1000 1500 5000 50 2000 3000 1000

what does it mean by '1buy' or '2buy'? does '1buy' means its currently the highest buy price that a person is willing to pay and '2buy' the 2nd highest?

then what happen when the highest BID is 2.7 but the lowest OFFER is 2.8? does it mean that no stock trade could be made bcoz no price can be agreed on?

Bursa requires top officers in listed companies to give notice of their intention to buy or sell shares during the information sensitive period. The definition of closed period is defined below. This sort of announcement is just the formality imho. More often than not, we, the public investors, are always the last to receive material information and trade after insiders or people connected to them buy or dump their shares.

Closed Period
The two months before a company announces its results in which directors are prohibited from dealing in its shares. This is to prevent them from taking advantage of inside information about the company's performance. Also, the period of time during the term of a mortgage loan when it cannot be prepaid.

Is it ??
I never calculate... I trust their computer.
It should be 0.32% of the gross amount I think they base on the payment date not the transaction date.
Do you calculate that way?

Guys, are there any websites which allow me to capture average daily turnover of shares in the market and the EPS from each counter's respective latest FYE result ? Like a database or something for me to capture it on Excel to do some analysis. Also other informations like NTA per share and total number of shares issued.

This T3 thing only affect player who uses "MARGIN" to play.

If you are trading with cash trading account, actually T3 does not affect you (I am claiming this if you are a PB Bank trader).
Example, you buy a 5k contract. Put for 10 days. Sell the contract and get back 7k. Next moment, you can use that 7k to buy other counter. No need wait 3 days for money to really get to your account only you can start new trading.

MARGIN player will be affected because they need to pay up with own cash if they are to keep more than 3 days. But if trading account do not have that amount of cash to settle, Bank/broker will do whatever is being agreed with you, including selling it at any price, and investor to bear the difference (Here, the difference referring to loss)

If you use Maybank2u nominee a/c this is possible.
As explained above it is also possible if you have a margin a/c

example..

1000 Par value 50 cents share consolidate.

So after consolidate, will become 500 shares of par value Rm1.00

Consolidate will result in quality play
Share spilt -> quantity play

Queries on how to interpret the bottom left table in share.

Anyone trade shares online? I am new to it, and there is something that caught my eye. How to I interpret the table which is available in the bottom left of table. Example of illustration, price of a share rm 0.8 0.9 1 how many sell quantity, rm1.1 1.2 1.3 how many buy quantity.

Added on February 25, 2011, 11:55 ambesides that, lets say u click a stock. then u see the stock chart. u would see the graph and remarks on the left.

what i dont understand is, it wrote seller price at rm4.10.... buyer price at rm3.99.

what exactly does it means. someone sell at rm4.10? but if someone sells, then another will buy. so why call it seller price.
