QUOTE(ianho @ Jan 10 2008, 05:09 PM) I just tried the Crysis patch 1.1. I did the Crysis built in GPU n CPU bench b4 I patched it. Then I benched again after the patch. Guess what? It made absolutely no difference. It's supposed to improve performance for SLI but there was no diff in the bench. Any1 else tried it? |

QUOTE(arjuna_mfna @ Jan 13 2008, 11:04 AM) reporting : 8800GT SLI sweeet, p5n32e SLI PLUS supports penryn dual core, where as p5n32e and Striker Extreme owners can sit down there and bang ballz. Proc: E6600 Mobo :Asus P5N32-E SLI PLUS Vga : MSI 8800GT OC + Winfast 8800GT [attachmentid=378131] 3D Mark score : update soon Added on January 13, 2008, 2:27 pm QUOTE(kianweic @ Jan 12 2008, 09:24 AM) It would seems interesting to find out more about SLI. ive tested asus 8800gts 320mb and XFX 8800gts xxx 320mb before. it will revert to the lower clock card regardless how you position the cards. How about this scenario: A Zotac Geforce 8800GT AMP and a MSI Geforce 8800GT? Because both card have different clockspeeds for both memory and core. Would it be possible to SLI those two cards? Cheers This post has been edited by VT-Ten: Jan 13 2008, 02:27 PM |

QUOTE(louisho_84 @ Mar 18 2008, 06:19 PM) no ler bro...even i click the 2nd or the 1st oso remain the same sli disabled....still doubt whether i am running Sli o nt..hehe you have to first enable SLi from nvidia control panel like how mcchin explained. then restart pc and run gpuz and select the 2nd graphics card.Added on March 18, 2008, 6:48 pm QUOTE(Nightfalls @ Mar 18 2008, 06:26 PM) Want to ask.. if i run 8800GTS SLI ... is it a must to have 1000w PSU to have sufficient power to run ?? or 450w PSU can alraedy ??? bigger wattage PSU is always welcomed, depending how much budget you are willing to stretch for your PSU. for GTS SLi, around 600+w will suffice. for example, Enermax Infinity 650w can run Q6600 with 8800GTX SLI.This post has been edited by VT-Ten: Mar 18 2008, 06:49 PM |

QUOTE(evilme @ Oct 21 2008, 12:34 PM) the price for gtx 280 ... the cheapest i can get in spore is 1450 .... witfout warranty ... in msia 9800gx2 only cost 1200 wif warranty ... price does matter ... hai ... quote extracted from guru3d.com"This is something you really need to keep in mind. Quad SLI gaming is intended for people that game at high-resolutions, preferable 2560x1600. But with more complex games the gain should be quite visible in say 1920x1200 as well. Everything below that is likely a waste of the investment." i wanted to go for quad sli initially. but there's really no gain for me running on 22" monitor. dropped that idea after reading the site. IIRC, some forummer bought 2 9800GX2 and regretted. sold it off thereafter. |

agree. 8800gt is the most bang-for-buck card ATM.

yeap. 9800GT is slightly cooler, thanks to the 55nm fabrication.

i am curious to know the performance of 7300GT SLi too. but fairing it against 9800GT is, IMO, a bit too much to ask for. The 7950GX2 (im assuming 7950GT SLI on par with 7950GX2?) is only somewat on par with the older 8800GTS G80, let alone 9800GT.
