No games in world can fully Utilize Quad SLI. Not even new game Bad Company 2 ....So far Most Powerful still Tri-SLI in gaming...If got games really can Utilize all 4 GPU Core..i already SLI my 9800GX2 very long ago. So Far 4 GPU really works on benchmarking only

QUOTE(oec88 @ Oct 27 2011, 10:09 PM) Battlefield 3 consider as a hottest game at the moment, come on SLI user, share your result. For mine, not really satisfy yet. Even with SLI GTX 580, sometime get 65fps, have no idea why. Even owiki85 GTX580 Tri-SLI also can get min 23fps avg 111 from BF3.

Most Best Bang of the card now are GTX570 // ATI 6970
Not so expensive and currently still can handle almost all games in highest setting in resolution 1920x1080
BTW you should ask this type question in here.....this is Nvidia SLI Club.....for SLI question only

GTX460 SLI will be more performance than single GTX570 IF the games support SLI.
But you need bigger PSU to run GTX460 SLI and bigger Casing too.
If let me choose....
I will go for Single GTX570. Unless can found a cheap GTX460 and now got Big PSU. ...Mobo can support SLI....why not?

you first tiem set up the RIg?
You should install the latest GC driver with one GC first. after the GC driver install complete then you off it.
Then you plug in 2nd GC. On it again then your computer will auto detect the 2nd GC.
Go Nvidia Driver control....SLI section and Enable it.

QUOTE(lamjunrong @ Mar 28 2012, 07:19 AM) sli newbie here...wanna ask ho to refine quad sli or quad crossfire? does it mean u take quad gfx cards and sli it together, or take 2 gtx 590 to sli...since it has dual gpu...2x590 got 4 gpu core=quad core=quad sli? Do remember, Quad SLI doesn't works on gaming. No games that really can scale perfectly on Quad SLI ; so the FPS will drop. Overall performance are worst than Tri-SLI

GTX295 and GTX590 can consider as SLI card. Because one card got 2 GPU inside.
SLI depent on games can support SLI or not...most of modern games do support SLi already...problem is you need to wait at least a month for newest driver to make it enable SLI to support that games.
My longest wait for SLI was Total War: Empire & Test Drive Unlimited 2 .....Waiting for newest driver for SLI it was 3 months
