im planning to start upgrade my ice..

budget around rm400-500.. im very well aware i cant get both good HU + speaker within this budget

so im planning to change either one 1st..

wut do u think.. should i change the HU or should i upgrade the speaker 1st ??

1st Are you high requirement on ICE?
If yes RM400-500 not enough le.....lol

stretch your budget to atleast 1k or 1.5k, then we talk.

for rm 400-500 get an alpine HU.

speakers, crossovers, amp, woofer comes next.

What you mean by upgrade? You already have ICE in your car or original audio system from the car only? BTW i am selling less than half year HU Eclipse 1000. Got a new car with HU. Wasted SWT

yes.. i will upgrade my ICE from time to time..
but for now, this is my budget..
i believe rm500 can already get a decent HU / speaker
so need to know either change stock HU or change stock speaker 1st

upgrade my stock ice laa.. unless stock HU/speaker isnt considered as ICE.. hehe

Change HU first. You need to have better sound quality from the HU to project out from your speaker. If not big woofer but si si za za sound

is better that you can get both together, and usually the shop will charge u cheaper if u install both together. Keep saving for more then go one shot on the HU and component speakers.

save abt 700-800 & get alpine hu 98xx series....change HU first then only change speaker....

yeah i agree bout that 'si si za za' sound.. so good speaker but stock HU is no good.. rite ??
but my fren change his HU to pioneer dunno which model, but with stock speaker..

i using kenwood player + pegasus tweeter + stock mid + stock rear
da sound not bad~~ better than lsat time~~

500, i think u better save the money. no need to change anything

If ur HU has enough power to pump, why not get component set? Just change speaker will do with your budget. But bare in mind u wont be getting boom boom sound. Just that much clearer sound if u choose a good component set.

i already install kenwood KDC-MP436U for my car.. hehe

actually im thinking of pioneer 3050UB over this.. turn out this is my choice..

im no ICE expert, but i do know this HU is doing a great job

even with a pair of stock speaker, it still deliver a good sound..

so people.. CHANGE UR STOCK HU FIRST.. then only speaker..

Tumpang thread.. i willing to throw around 2-2.5 k for my Kelisa ICE.. if possible i wan in car DVD HU oso.. any possibilities or i still need topup?

DVD HU? RM2 to 2.5k...China brand DVD HU maybe can....

Any branded dvd HU with built in monitor will cost u at least RM2k alr. If Taiwan brand need around RM1600 above. For ur budget i think just enough to install 1 DVD HU and 1 set component speaker.

If dont want monitor,u can try the KENWOOD DVD PLAYER MODEL KDV-MP6333. Price below RM1k selling at garage forum there.

I just changed my Kelisa HU with a Hong Kong brand DVD HU for RM300+. Bought it from ebay. Sound quality better than stock. Still using stock speakers but will change them soon.

so what is the best price for DVD HU? Dowan taiwan and china brand 1 la.. best price for all lo.. best quality and price.. suggest please..

trust me, stock speaker isn't that bad afterall..
if ur budget RM500, just save up some more.. throw in more and get a better range of kenwood player..
even wif ur stock speaker, u can get a good n satisfying sound...
then next u can get a component for ur front..
depends on wat's ur requirement.. amp and woofer is optional

2-2.5?
Get a good HU -> alpine, kenwood? (RM 700-800)
1 set of component with 4 amp channel (RM 1000)
1 12 inch woofer. (RM 350)
should be enough for wiring and installation cost.
