QUOTE(hornetEJ @ Jan 9 2008, 11:41 PM) Cabut ur kit lens and hook up in reverse ( if pakai reverse ring much better ) set the lens to manual. set ur aperture to higher number. set ur iso to 100 or 400 ( depend on serounding light aka indoor or outdoor ) hold ur breath. start manually focus on subjek. agak2 the subjek is sharp then snap. check the outcome .. and if not satisfy shoot again. recomended to shoot in RAW. practice, practice and practice. |

QUOTE(R a D ! c 4 L @ Jan 10 2008, 10:18 AM) i using M mode. so all setting on body can be set manually. Only the lens cannot be control automatically. Thats why the lens should be in manual not auto so we can manual adjust focus.once u snap 20 30 pic .. u will find it easy |

good pics birukaca21.
quite tempted to do it too. anybody here can explain how exactly this reverse-lens technique works? from the photos, it looks as though the aperture is very big. |

QUOTE(shockk @ Jan 11 2008, 05:19 PM) good pics birukaca21. If you are using a 50mm constant lens, its easier. Just reverse the lens, unlock the aperture and set it to the biggest aperture (on the lens) and then place it on your came and hold it. Then fire away quite tempted to do it too. anybody here can explain how exactly this reverse-lens technique works? from the photos, it looks as though the aperture is very big. |

Then fire away Hmm I shall try that with a 50mm later on then. thanks for the advice on that. But for the moment, by using kitlens, since can't set the aperture (assuming the zoom is at 18mm), by doing the reverse lens technique, will the aperture be bigger than F3.5 or not? that's what I'm curious about.
