The official website for the true tears anime series has confirmed on Monday that 2,000 Blu-ray Box pre-orders had been received — the minimum needed to give the planned Blu-ray conversion project the official go-ahead. The box will add about three minutes of new, unaired anime footage as an epilogue. The epilogue will depict the future of the main characters after the 13th and last television episode.

The 376-minute box will include about 62 minutes of video extras. Besides the epilogue, those video extras will feature about 20 minutes of footage from the real-life locales that inspired the true tears anime and a digital illustration gallery. The Blu-ray Box will also contain the same mini-character four-panel skit videos, Kochira Tulip Hōsōkyoku Internet radio program spinoff, credit-less opening and ending animation footage, four kinds of warning narration, and collection of commercials and promotional videos that the DVD edition had.

Potential customers had to submit their pre-orders by December 16, and they now have to submit their payments by January 8.
