It's with Dual Shock 3.
But it's 80gb... very scared of 80gb ps3. Heard got many problems especially reading BR disc. N just happen to my fren's 80gb

Are you sure? Though I know most of the hardware total failures of PS3 comes from the 80GB version due to crappy lens in the early batch models.

I don't see why only the 80GB will have lens problems. they prolly come from the same supplier as the 40GB.

I guess playing DVD/BD videos kills the lens faster. remember PS2?
*
Its only the early batch models, as in before the Motorstorm bundle. Those 80GB models weren't made by Foxconn as the 40GB models were.

Playing original discs(BD/DVD/CD) is fine, just try to avoid playing pirated stuff.

The PS3's lens is loads better than the PS2, so don't compare them.

Anyone going to replay MGS1, 2 and 3 btw?

Just for the sake of playing this legendary series one more time before we go into the finale.

Definitely, MGS3 is the best entry in the series. But quite suprisingly it sold the least as well.

My MGS1 is covered in dust laugh.gif

Re-watching the MGS4 Gameplay demo, I noticed the sniper-rifle Old Snake uses is a Mosin Nagant.

Given the fact that MGS4 takes place in 2014, I don't see why he'd use a WWII-60's era rifle unless...

Just speculating. It could very well mean nothing and just be a nod to all the fans. I'm very hyped up about this game, as you can probably tell... sweat.gif

I don't think it matters.

Because Snake will also be using the M16A1(as seen in the TGS 07 demo I think), thats also a 60's gun.

If that was a 80GB, I may have thought about it. But no way, 40GB for RM2200+, thats crazy.

will this game run in 1080p natively?
*
In the recent hands-on in the MGS4 bootcamp by the 14 "pro" reviewers recently, one of them said that the game is running in native 720p and 60fps. However, it is said that 720p is not final.

So an LCD TV with double Hz which is 120hz wont make any diff since the game only max out at 60fps.. XD

I wonder PS3's lens can read smoothly onot on the dual layer BR disc. o.O
*
You got it wrong. A TV's refresh rate has nothing to do with a game's FPS.

The PS3 should have no problems reading dual-layered Blu-Rays(why should there be anyways?). Because if it has, some sort of word must have broken out by now.

I notice that there will be 2 language versions for Asia, the English and Jap.

Now I wonder if the Asian version(english) will have any diference from the US version.

2 different version of MGS4 will be availabe for Asia.

One is the Jap version(everything is Jap) and the other is the English version(everything is English).

Now I'm just pondering if there will be any differences between the English Asia and US version or not.

A MGS game built from the ground-up on the PC would be absolutely jaw breaking then.

Wow.... just LOOK at the amount of detail difference between the 2. Its night and day!

I still do prefer "old" Raiden's eyes though. Makes him look more like a "cyborg".

When you buy MGS4, it comes with a starter pack for MGO. What does the started pack come with? I guess it comes with maybe a limited number of maps and limited features. The full version will be released soon after MGS4 is released I guess.
*
Konami already said that the MGO starter pack that comes with MGS4 is a ground-base for updates coming for MGO. It basically has 5 maps, all the features that you'd expect from the single-player game. Wherter or not the continuation of MGO comes via DLC or a disc filled with maps, features and other contents is yet to be known.

The certain thing is, the MGO starter pack in MGS4, is the full online experience deal you'll get.
