QUOTE(LeVis_Jeans @ Jul 5 2008, 12:02 PM) Hehe, actually i dunno.. Need GPS to get there.. so i need the road name, which taman or which market. Then GPS will get it easily.. Added on July 8, 2008, 2:33 pmI'm driving gen2 (M) 2004. no major problem so far. already running >120,000km. power window kaput 4x. (use smart tag to reduce window usage) there is a few component that had been changed by proton service center for the first batch (2004). if the owner already change it during warranty period last time, then you are safe. among the others: front absorber + mounting (change design, use the one same with waja/wira) radiator hose clip immobilizer chip in the key clutch cable (melted due to touch with aircond steel tube) aircond steel tube (above reason) a cant remember all, some they change during service QUOTE(Tainted @ Jul 7 2008, 05:56 PM) Been looking at motortrader and most of them are 04 (M) Gen2. This post has been edited by PUd: Jul 8 2008, 02:33 PMAround 28k-30k. Seems like 04 are prone to have more problems compared to the rest? |

if you open 1 inch or 2, i guess that will be okay. for all the time my window jam was when i open it till the end.
i still believe TOC (total cost of ownership) for proton/perodua car lower than others, at least for one yg tak reti repair sendiri (DIY) QUOTE(Tainted @ Jul 10 2008, 12:46 PM) |

I drove satria 1.6(M) also before change to Gen2(M).
Need 4 doors after being a family man. If fuel is a big concern, then stay with satria coz lighter car use less fuel, and more fun to drive. QUOTE(Tainted @ Jul 10 2008, 05:07 PM) Yeap, I did notice that. Its a 06' Manual one. But his price is around 38k if I'm not mistaken, I'm looking for around 30 or slightly above 30k, like those 04' models. I'm not fussy over what transmission, auto or manual would do fine. But I'm kind of stucked with this as due to the rising fuel price, a manual would seem to save more but due the jam and all, auto seem to be a better choice! LOL If the fc for both the manual and auto is pretty much the same, then I think I would hunt for an auto instead. Any idea whether it'll be higher compared to a 1.6 Satria Manual which I'm driving one right now, still clocking my mileage after I pumped RM50 of fuel. |

I'm agree that change extractor will give u the feel.. the moment you take out the cat, exhaust flows better.
If you change filter first, you won't feel anything... QUOTE(hazril @ Jul 13 2008, 10:20 PM) well, theres quite a few number of brands of air filter...so far K&N worth ur money bcos u just need to wash periodically and long lasting from what ive heard.... |

agreed, this is common to gen2, slip piece of rubber at the steering bush will make it holds better. Forget about silicon bush, too expensive.
the tyre may align but steering not, due to this problem. QUOTE(jezi3030 @ Oct 31 2008, 06:05 AM) actually wanna know sumtin??..most gen2's steering rack bush which is screwed to the wall.. its a bit longgar..seriously..y not u try n check it out.. ask sum1 to steer the steering while u hv a look...u'll see the rubber moves..huhuu.. dat is one of the possibilities... so after alignment is done..u must jaga very careful...if hit lobang..sure not proper again.. giv it a try to inspect the bush...mine..proton SC jz add a piece of rubber..they fold an slip it in.. yet still..not much different.. |
