QUOTE(goldfries @ Mar 3 2008, 05:01 PM) OMG!!! So cute! My hamster gave birth to 6 baby hamsters. Unfortunately, one of them died Added on March 4, 2008, 9:16 pm QUOTE(sangels @ Mar 4 2008, 04:42 PM) Hehehe... sure sure... Can't wait to bring them back, all of them are so beautiful, unfortunately can't bring all back. I also don't know what's the breed. My friend forced me to own them. Something like Goldfries's ones - grey color and black eyes. What kind of hamster do you have? Added on March 4, 2008, 4:48 pm Wonder which pet shop you are telling, but I can be sure that the seller is trying to bluff you. Everytime when I do hamster hunting or pet shops visiting, definitely they have males and females in almost the same amount of them, maybe in a different ratio but it's not difficult at all to get male Syrian. I already have 2 at home. Going to expand the family tomorrow, just dunno I'll get a male or female, but doesn't matter since they are living separately. My previous one was brown color with red eyes. Do you want? I must give them away a.s.a.p. I actually want one, my friend gave me 2. He said it will die very fast due to loneliness of I just have one. Is it true? Added on March 4, 2008, 9:28 pmHere's my cutie. Btw, can I feed my hamsters with the normal kuaci that I get from the supermarket? I notice they love kuaci so much. ![]() This post has been edited by lil`pumpkinz: Mar 4 2008, 09:28 PM |

QUOTE(the_catacombs @ Mar 4 2008, 10:26 PM) Big abuse spotted Added on March 5, 2008, 8:51 am QUOTE(how to save a life @ Mar 4 2008, 11:41 PM) u mean the mixed food... Where did you get the kuaci? i think the kuaci is too small ...and might be empty inside bought 1 packet yesterday question: someone recommended me to buy vitamin for hamster...some bottle(liquid)...put inside their drinks -->small amount everytime you refill the bottle...how many brands that available in stores...or is just all the same From the pets shop or those normal kuaci that we eat while having beers? Added on March 5, 2008, 8:54 am QUOTE(crazymouse_yyh @ Mar 5 2008, 01:02 AM) LOL.... you got the Syrian virus... kena already, hard to stop hahahah. Thanks for the info. I bought them the mixed food from the pets shop but they just eat the kuaci Very adorable... upside down water fountain hahaha. Nopes... it depends on the supplier lah. Normal there is a good mixture. The tubes! I can pengsan by just looking at it Red eyes is RC hamster, your one in the pic is a WW hamster.... Do not mix them, both different species. Anyway, hamsters do not die when alone..... Kuaci is actually kinda bad lah.... if you have only been feeding cheap hamster food with no fresh foods available, and if the hamster is young, it can die but not from loneliness, more like from malnutrition.... i keep all my RC and Syrians single, got die from loneliness? No..... Yes, they eat healthier, gain more body weight wan heheheh.... healthy too. Added on March 5, 2008, 8:56 am QUOTE(sOuLx @ Mar 5 2008, 03:55 AM) maybe you didnt give them good food? I'm feeding them with Harry Hamster a nutritious food doesnt mean it will have lots of kuaci, but balance in every nutrition needed.. try to get a pack of Harry Hamster or Presitige food.. only rm18++.. it can last quite long if keep it properly. Mana itu tempat, no heard before Added on March 6, 2008, 8:43 pm QUOTE(sangels @ Mar 6 2008, 12:08 PM) lil`pumpkinz Yeap, I wanted to give away my baby hamsters. Are you interested? What cage are you using now? Post the pic of your cage so that we know what is 'bigger' for you. You can get a 2 feet tank (the 2 feet plastic fish tank), can get from fish shop, cheaper and spacious. My current cage is very small. Okay, I try to snap a picture of it. I have the same idea as yours, using the fish tank/aquarium. It would be much more spacious. But, I don't know how to feed them the water then I feed them with the hamster food that I bought from pets shop but I notice they only eat the kuaci Where is Pretty Pets? kachakcomb, interested to adopt them?
![]() ![]() Added on March 6, 2008, 11:41 pm QUOTE(sangels @ Mar 6 2008, 11:37 PM) Thanks for your offer ya! I already have 5 Syrians and all of them in their own tank, enough for me especially for the cleaning every week. Sangels, thank you very much for the info!! Will go and look for that shop this weekend. No worry, I don't abuse my pets like what kachakcomb did to his hamsters Lots of people using the 2 feet tank. Our hamster need to drink water too. It's so simple, just hang a water bottle outside the tank, for that you need to have a hole drilled and a suction cap to make the bottle attached. Clean and easy! Just leave the food inside as they always finish the kuaci first then only go for other food when they have no choice. DO NOT slap them when they are choosy. Pretty pets is in Taman Ipoh Timur, around Pizza Hut. Just behind P.H. Just go there and make one round and I'm sure you can find it. Address as below: No. 63, Lorong Taman Ipoh 1, Taman Ipoh Selatan, 31400, Ipoh, Perak. Tel: 05-5470989 By the way, are you from Ipoh? This post has been edited by lil`pumpkinz: Mar 6 2008, 11:41 PM |

QUOTE(sangels @ Mar 9 2008, 01:16 AM) Saw lots of Sable banded in Pet Family today when I brought my cousin there. Saw a solid cream there as well. Lots of long haired syrians. Those who interested with Sable banded, please be hurry... Hehe, okok The Syrians in Pet Safari is under age and not tame at all. Maybe you wanna try to get from PetShack as they have new batch os babies syrians arrived there. All very healthy. Better carry your own carrier even they will provide you boxes but it's very stress for the hamster to be in the box. For me I'll bring a small plastic fish tank with some bedding and food inside. Put a toilet roll as they like to hide inside when they are scared being transfer. Better buy your hamster in the evening as you can know which one is healthy and active and you should get home within an hour or as soon as you can after buying, not to go shopping and dining with them. Boxes will make them stress and they will try to bite the box and get out. Not a good idea, better have own carrier. You are welcome. Harry hamster contained kuaci also, you no need to add anymore as kuaci is not healthy if giving much. By the way, do you bath your hammies? |

QUOTE(abang brother @ Mar 10 2008, 11:45 AM) I can't imagine how you gonna bathe a hammy! I hold also cant. xD My friend taught me to mix a little shampoo with water in a basin (low water level) then place the hamsters in. Let them play for a minute then place them in another basin with water only. Then, get them up and wipe them dry carefully. The guy in the pet shop said I can blow dry them Just use sand bathe, its not for poo poo. But they might poo inside if they still unfamiliar with the new thing. By the way, my hamster can stand still on my palm |

QUOTE(blurjoey @ Mar 10 2008, 03:13 PM) Please do not listen to the your friend or the pet shop guy. It will cause your hamsters to be weak and die if you bathe them in soap and water. Hamsters do not need to bathe in water. Hamster come from desert, so how can they bathe when they can't even find water? Thanks for the info. Lucky I did not bath them Dwarfs can use sand bath whereas syrians don't sand bath at all. Syrians will groom themselves like cats. QUOTE(the_catacombs @ Mar 11 2008, 05:00 AM) I see..am afraid if they're having skin disease Added on March 11, 2008, 8:18 am QUOTE(blurjoey @ Mar 10 2008, 10:15 PM) Don't get a habitrail since it's a syrian hamster. The hamster will be too big for the habitrail when it grow full size. You can opt for a 2 feet tank which is also cheaper than a habitrail and bigger too. They love to scratch here and there once in a while. Ooo, I never have cats, not too sure how they groom themselves You can try Woody Pet wood pellets which is abour RM40-50 for a really big pack (30+ litres if I can remember correctly) which can last very long depending how much you use per week. You can also get timothy hay which you can buy 2 packs for RM15. I'm still using the first pack since I bought it late last year. Added on March 10, 2008, 10:18 pm As long as the hammy is eating and drinking should be fine. You need to be patience with it now since its a new environment and all. You should let your hammy get use to his/her new home first before you let it get use to your presence. Our syrians are jumpy too now but they will sit our hand and eat there now. You can try talking to him/her. Added on March 10, 2008, 10:20 pm Thanks soulx. Really miss the little fella. Added on March 10, 2008, 10:21 pm Are they grooming themselves? If it is grooming then it is normal. They look like cats grooming themselves. This post has been edited by lil`pumpkinz: Mar 11 2008, 08:18 AM |
