Then should I try to make my Fumoffu fatter as he is too thin compare to Jack jack???
*
Jack jack was fed a wide variety of fresh veges and Prestige when he was 3 weeks old onwards. I remember someone telling me that that contributes to them being large when they grow older. That's what I heard la.

Yupe, I remember you told me that  nod.gif but I'm still thinking of ways to make Fumoffu fatter as he is really thin, so much different when I hold Jackjack and Fumoffu in hand. Wonder I still can make him grow fatter by giving veges, supplements and good stuffs unsure.gif  unsure.gif Hun said 1 raw cashew nut a day will help, but I'm still looking for raw cashew nuts  sweat.gif

Good big wheels would be Sanko Wild 21cm Silent Wheel or Habitrail Safari or Playground wheels. Just to let you know that the bigger the wheel the more expensive it will get. But the Habitrail wheels are the cheapest.
*
Just to let you know, unfortunately, the Habitrail Safari Wheel has been discontinued.

Mokie knows how to climb on top of that hood and go out if the lid is open  sweat.gif now he still can reach and bite the plastic lid, once he's bigger, i need to take off that blue hood already leh. If he grows as big as MoFo, need to change tank alreadddyy...
*
He can escape if he bites through the lid loh

Yeah i know tongue.gif now he still cannot but he will soon. biggrin.gif I'll take out the hood first, he's still too short without the blue hood. But when he's big like MoFo, time to take it down (or change tank biggrin.gif)
*
If you take off the hood, wouldn't it be possible for him to climb right out? (Since he can reach the lid already?)

biggrin.gif  biggrin.gif  biggrin.gif You better think first as we also happily extended the cage and end up tiredly washing it  sweat.gif  sweat.gif  sweat.gif

Perhaps a slightly quicker but less economical way of washing the tubes is to:
Soak the tubes in a mild dilution of dettol and warm water for about an hour. Then rinse off and put under the sun to dry smile.gif
Soaking eliminates the need to scrub. tongue.gif

I say less economical because you may end up using more water. wink.gif

convinience always beats costs smile.gif i always soak my hamster cage tubes in alot of soap tongue.gif then i soak it in normal water..It always comes out super clean...smile.gif
*
Just wondering, do you just soak it in normal water or you rinse it off properly? If you use a lot of soap, soaking it in normal water may not totally wash off the soap and the residue would be harmful for the hammies.

Hmmm, I thought I was the only one getting confused.

Frostfox, let's make it simple (I know none of my business la but just curious):

1. How many hamsters DID you have at first?

2. How many hamsters do you have NOW?

3. What breed are they?

4. How old are you?

Juz let it heal by itself? Do I need to take it to the vet?  sad.gif

Maybe you can get a wheel without holes. From the picture, it looks like the leg can still get stuck. A good quality wheel would be the 6.5inch Silent Spinner smile.gif

i'm just wondering..what is the diff between wodent wheels with other wheel..i'm cool with safari wheel..

wodent cost a bomb.. might as well get another habitrail for hammy??
Actually, there are a number of differences:
1. The Wodent Wheel has no dangerous pinch areas which can strangulate or break your hammi's legs or neck
2. The Wodent Wheel is very very stable and does not swing like some other cheaper wheels
3. It is enclosed which rodents prefer because they like to live in walls. It's like running in the wall for the rodent
4. The fact that it is approved by ASPCA shows how safe it is.

Note to Mods: Not advertising here. Just pointing out the differences
