I just use a cloth to cover the cage. No distraction from outside world. But sometimes I noticed my mommy hamster like to step over the babies.

Dun worry... the babies won't die from that... smile.gif

Hi, I am a newbie,may I ask
1.Is there any bedding that can absorb the hamster odour and easy to clean up??
2.Is a newbie like me suitable to keep Winter White??
3.I need to prepare how much money for a start, for 1 hamster??
4.Where can I buy the Habitrail cage??

I think I need to do more research before I really get one.

Hmm.. this is my opinion...

1. It is impossible to cover up the hamster odor completely... you can only lessen the odor by changing the bedding every week... and yes, for me it is quite easy to clean up smile.gif

2. You have to start to keep them to know this.. The first kind of hamster that I keep is winter white and I think you will love them after you keep 1... blush.gif

3. It depends.. For me I need around RM 100+ when i start keeping hamsters.. After you got the cage and all the necessities... the cost of maintainance will be lesser... you just need to restock bedding, food and vitamins.

4. You can get it in most of the Petshops... maybe there is a petshop around your house that have it nod.gif

Yupe.. most of the animals can't tolerate chocolates.. even for cats.. One of my hamster died after eating a coco crunch on the floor... so I advice everyone to clean the floor b4 letting their hamsters out...

There are no dwarfs for sale. Got Syrians by Pet Family but super duper underage and tiny. Don't buy.

Tomorrow last day. Prestige and Kaytee on display there, cheaper than normal. Lots of dogfood samples, easily can get for hamster and hedgehogs.

Yupe... the syrian is damn tiny...
