^^" I only feed boiled eggs to my hamsters when one of them give birth. Then only they will eat. otherwise they don't enjoy it much... And they don't like the yolk lar. They always only eat the egg white.

My robos climb onto my hand. They will jump off and climb back and jump off and climb back. Seem to be their favourite game. But they take food from my fingers la. It's so cute when it stands up and takes the food with its hands. Sometimes my female likes to nip my fingers, not hard hard lar. Just softly but i think she just likes to. She nips and climbs on my hand. Very much like a habit.Consider tame a not ar?

Wah, he is horrible... how can he not know the species of his hamster? Each hamster has slightly different necessities, so how do you provide the best care without knowing its species?? Poor Sinclair.... She is so pretty! =.=" I feel angered when he called her "thingy". Proves he doesn't think of her more than a thing? Poor poor Sinclair...

Robos live for four years?? Some sites tell me they live an average of 2.5 years? My oldest one only lived up to a lil past 3 years... And I thought that was some record. He passed away last month. smile.gif I miss him a lot.

This is his picture before he passed away.

Huh... It sounds like she sprained or dislocated her leg. Does your cage have very tall setups she can fall from? I've had many robos but no case like this wor. Then again nothing in my setup is taller than 4 inches other than the wheel. Is she moving ok? Got picture? And what wheel are you using? The ones with gaps in between? Maybe her leg got caught in between. Robos are very tiny after all.

Wah... Looks painful. I think its leg really got caught in the wheel. Can you imagine, the wheel is spinning very quickly, then suddenly one leg accidentally got caught in 1 of the bars. Then it cannot pull its leg out instantly + the speed of the wheel rolling... It'll be like wrenching the leg out of its sockets with lotsa force...

Cannot be sure la but if it's sprained leg, I dunno if it applies, but one of my GP got its leg caught in the grill before and sorta sprained her leg. The vet advised me to take out any items that can cause her to exercise (like stairs to second level, or putting the food dish and water bottle too far away or in your case the wheel). If possible, put her in a smaller place so she can't do anything but rest. Using the leg too much will make the healing difficult.

So just make her so boring that all she can do is sleep. My robos just sleep when they're bored. My GP's leg healed in about a week la, and results can be seen in a couple of days.

If the situation doesn't get better maybe you should bring to a vet? Though I'm not sure what a vet can do for such a small hamster...

Consider changing your wheel so it won't happen again. The price of a wheel can let your robo be risk free of this kinda situation o...

good luck and I hope she gets better ya?

Yes just leave it to mummy. When she's ready she'll go all over the place looking and picking up her babies and putting it back to the nest. That's what mine does anyway.

Let's hope nibble nibble won't turn into something more... I notice my young hamsters like to nibble (and occasionally bite) my older hammie doesn't.

Hahahah, cute. Like saying... take my food, let me go... alright?

Unlike MoFo, who will just take whatever i gave him (kuaci, yoghurt drop, nuts) and stuff it into his face... even if i give 5 things in a row... while looking at me with a look that said: "Ok, ok... I am done. See? No Food. Pick me up already" or sometimes... "See? See? Food... no Food. U like? Magic. Now pick me up already!"
*
Haha... Mine takes as much as her cheek pouch can fill. Until it's all filled out, she'll take take take then look at me like "Some more... Some more... SOME MORE!!!" blink.gif When it's filled she'll go empty it in the little plastic house then come out and take more. biggrin.gif

I don't use those tiny wheel even for my robos. Looks very cramped... plus they both wanna run on it at the same time, often resulting in flinging or pushing of one another. The bigger wheel looks more comfortable for my robos, plus, they can both run on it at the same time!

When they're bored sometimes they like to overturn bowls. Seen it before, so I prefer using glass bowls. But had one RC that kept licking the bowl until she actually licked a hole. Freaky hamster...
*
shakehead.gif Drilled... sorry, I mean LICKED a hole into a solid bowl?? :shock:That is 1 powerful tongue your RC has!

sad.gif Mine doesn't use their bowls. Just go in there, get the stash out and bury it in their house.

My robos like grooming each other. My male, Yuu is particularly interested in licking Fat fat's bottom parts. Why ar?

hahaha... funny little syrian..

my robos like to fight n also attack each other's bottom part too.. i also dono y..

OT a bit, i'm from Kampar.. i'll sure go to ipoh to have some ipoh taugeh chicken.. haha
*
M hmm.gif My robos don't fight. They just settle in the corner and do grooming. Then they will try to groom each other. Just that Yuu likes to groom Fat Fat's bottom parts. Fat Fat just likes to groom Yuu's fur, anywhere on top.

I've never seen them fight before, except when he tries to hump Fat Fat and she don wan. doh.gif She will then turn around, like fight a bit, then go off. Otherwise they do mostly everything together.

ahaha..so many spam just want to wish RIP..
so guys, if you have one hammy, and it dies.. will get another one or stop your hobby..or you dont care if it dies? smile.gif
*
Hmmm.... It really depends for me. If I found great joy in having the hammie and would love to cotinue giving love to the hammies, then I would get another.

If I find that the reason why I have hammies in the first place is gone, then nah, no more.

I will be SSSOOOOOOOOOOOO sad if my hammies died. I cried for one day when Rump died. I visited him everyday for a week and still sometimes now. smile.gif

Hey guys, I have a little situation in my tank... I have 2 robos, Fat Fat and Yuu. They live in the same tank. They've always gotten along fine and like to go explore the tank together. They eat together, run on the wheel together, and groom together. They even groom each other.

I cleaned out the tank last saturday and decided to put some toilet paper in their hamster house since whenever I put 1 piece in just for them to play and rip, they tear it up and take the trouble to drag it into the lil hamster house.

Last Saturday, they both were thrilled to enter the house and find lotsa toilet paper. From Sunday onwards, their whole activity changed. Yuu always sleeps alone now. They don't groom together or each other anymore. He takes his food and eats seperately. She takes her food and go back in the lil house.

Fat Fat just spends most of her time in that lil house. She doesn't even come out when I put food in the tank anymore. She ALWAYS stops whatever she's doing whenever it's feeding time. She's been this way all her life. In fact, it freaks me a lil because I'm afraid she died in the house and I might not know it.

Do you think I should take out all the toilet paper? It's a plastic house so I can't see what's going on in the lil house.
