my hammy got a new behaviour for the past three days i observed..
he likes to turn over his food bowl in the morning..my hammy will fully active in between 3am-8am..coz i normally sleep at 2am but my hammy still sleeping..when i woke up in the morning, he's was just going to sleep..but the past 3 days, every morning the food bowl will be upside down.. i wonder why... because past few days quite busy, havent spend my time with my hammy..

hurm...if u are bz why dont u let ur room8 play with them oso...
im oso now quite bz with the xm and so on...but there's owez some1 wanna play with them...hehe

When they're bored sometimes they like to overturn bowls. Seen it before, so I prefer using glass bowls. But had one RC that kept licking the bowl until she actually licked a hole. Freaky hamster...

want to ask, usually 2 males fight, they'll attack de vulnerable part (balls) rite? if the balls bleed, will tis make them impotent? if so, i have a eunuch now..

No, unless both the testicles get severed. Separate them if they start to fight.

Mine doesn't use their bowls. Just go in there, get the stash out and bury it in their house.

i've not change bedding / hay for the tank since the female gave birth. will the less optimal condition make my male hammy go into sudden defensive / aggression? fatherly instinct?

cos since yesterday the fella has been like that. come near and the fella snarl and make noise. seperate the fella, keep the fella in darkness for long hours bleh nothing seem to sooth / reset his aggression.

Well he was more defensive and more aggressive than my other WW sapphire.

however if he was originally on level 2 , now he's like level 8 - 10.

it all happens after he escaped the tank yesterday (the cloth that covering the tank, some how he manage to get hold) and got sandwiched between the glass and the wall. from then he's a changed ham.

tis is my first time using habitrail, so i dunno how long will it last me.. but i think will be very long cos i mix it with prestige n nuts.. so tat means i dun have to refrigerate?
