Another important thing is: the pet shop care taker is feeding the hamsters with fresh fruits and veges from small. Other than hamsters, there also have ferret, white hedgehogs, white faced robos, and others animals as well with very reasonable price. This post has been edited by sangels: Mar 4 2008, 12:46 AM |

QUOTE(lil`pumpkinz @ Mar 4 2008, 01:48 PM) What kind of hamster do you have? Added on March 4, 2008, 4:48 pm QUOTE(anbusan @ Mar 4 2008, 04:42 PM) I buy male coz before this I have 2 female hehe... seller tell me it so difficult to find male(syrian) is it true?, when their buy 5 hamster supplier will give 1 male and 4 female....hehe don't know la it's true or not, maybe only in my area. Wonder which pet shop you are telling, but I can be sure that the seller is trying to bluff you. Everytime when I do hamster hunting or pet shops visiting, definitely they have males and females in almost the same amount of them, maybe in a different ratio but it's not difficult at all to get male Syrian. I already have 2 at home. Going to expand the family tomorrow, just dunno I'll get a male or female, but doesn't matter since they are living separately. This post has been edited by sangels: Mar 4 2008, 04:48 PM |

Bought 4 solid syrians in CTY Aquariums Penang today. 3 males & 1 female. About 5-6 weeks old. Very cheap and healthy as they CTY feed them fresh vege everyday! ![]() 3 males solids. Cream (SamSam), Umbrous (DigDig) and Sable (AshAsh) ![]() Female solid umbrous. ![]() Now the 3 males are staying in a 2 feet tank and the female alone in the temporary tank. Going to PetShack tomorrow to get their new homes. People in Penang can go to CTY to get as there more there. This post has been edited by sangels: Mar 5 2008, 08:19 PM |

QUOTE(Cloud9Nos3 @ Mar 5 2008, 08:05 PM) Hi hi !! First of all, what kind of hamster do you wanna buy? Some can be put together and some can not cos they are solitary, means they can only be kept alone or else they'll fight and cause death. If you get a pair and put together, they will start breeding. Please read up the first page and know more about breeding. It'll cause you complications if you breed them without knowledge and wrong intention. How to tame hamster that just bought from pet shop ? Most of them will bite And i scare to touch them. I want to buy 1 Male and 1 Female Secondly, to tame a hamster, you need to spend time and patience. Or you can get a half tame hamster from breeder. My first Syrian never bite Added on March 5, 2008, 8:41 pm QUOTE(king99 @ Mar 5 2008, 08:31 PM) Miss My Hamsters..all dead due to stupid cats.........it Enter my house from the roof (It's have a small hole ) jump down to my room on the forst floor and ate all 6 of them. QUOTE(abang brother @ Mar 5 2008, 10:02 PM) Thanks for the wondering. I know exactly Syrian is solitary and also know they can't be kept together for long term, that's why I've already stated there, 'tomorrow going to get them new house', maybe you want to read one more time of the post??? I planned to go PetShack to get my tanks but too bad they already closed when I reached KL from Penang, only can go by tomorrow la! They can live together in the pet shop for so long, I'm sure they can still hang on for one more night as only 3 babies in a 2 feet tank.Added on March 5, 2008, 10:19 pm QUOTE(how to save a life @ Mar 5 2008, 09:44 PM) Another good way to spam....LOL... What cage are you using now? Post the pic of your cage so that we know what is 'bigger' for you. You can get a 2 feet tank (the 2 feet plastic fish tank), can get from fish shop, cheaper and spacious. This post has been edited by sangels: Mar 6 2008, 12:26 PM |

QUOTE(how to save a life @ Mar 6 2008, 12:49 PM) Can't judge their type by price la. I bought Syrian in KL cost me RM12-RM40, from Ipoh is RM8-9, in Penang is RM7-8. For Robos in KL can go up to RM25-RM30 but only RM15 in Penang. See? Can be so much different. Maybe you can show us the pic and let the sifu tell you what kind of hamster you have. It's important to know so that you can give specific care to them. |

QUOTE(lil`pumpkinz @ Mar 6 2008, 08:38 PM) Kachakcomb, now I have 7 hamsters Thanks for your offer ya! I already have 5 Syrians and all of them in their own tank, enough for me especially for the cleaning every week. Macy Restaurant?? Mana itu tempat, no heard before Added on March 6, 2008, 8:43 pm Yeap, I wanted to give away my baby hamsters. Are you interested? My current cage is very small. Okay, I try to snap a picture of it. I have the same idea as yours, using the fish tank/aquarium. It would be much more spacious. But, I don't know how to feed them the water then I feed them with the hamster food that I bought from pets shop but I notice they only eat the kuaci Where is Pretty Pets? Lots of people using the 2 feet tank. Our hamster need to drink water too. It's so simple, just hang a water bottle outside the tank, for that you need to have a hole drilled and a suction cap to make the bottle attached. Clean and easy! Just leave the food inside as they always finish the kuaci first then only go for other food when they have no choice. DO NOT slap them when they are choosy. Pretty pets is in Taman Ipoh Timur, around Pizza Hut. Just behind P.H. Just go there and make one round and I'm sure you can find it. Address as below: No. 63, Lorong Taman Ipoh 1, Taman Ipoh Selatan, 31400, Ipoh, Perak. Tel: 05-5470989 |

You can go there and have a look, I saw solid umbrous and solid cream there last time. The hamsters they selling are quite tame also. Just like my solid cream girl - ShaSha, miss her so much. I don't even know where to get hamsters in Ipoh You collect your hamsters from all over the places This post has been edited by sangels: Mar 7 2008, 12:13 AM |

QUOTE(jtl @ Mar 6 2008, 11:56 PM) Use forceps ah? No worries la, you will be using your fingers in no time. I also geli last time wan. Yeap! I know that. I didn't post that actually cos I'm busy with the worms at that time. Thats why I explained to avoid people who never read the post properly and go to ask you for worms. We thought all the worms died already when we reached home after done with all the shopping with the worms in the car trunk. Who knows, once I poured them into the plastic container, they starts moving.... You are very very welcome. I just put that note there coz I scared people come to me looking for mealworms QUOTE There's actually a pets shop near my school? OMG, I don't know that My ShaSha went missing without a trace 2 week ago and dunno why. You can read the previous post as I've posted her cute picture there.Okok, since you recommend, I go and check it out this weekend as well. Where is your ShaSha now? QUOTE(Reanne @ Mar 7 2008, 12:57 AM) They're not exactly solitary. They can live in small groups but since we usually cannot afford to provide a large space, they tend to fight. But Pet Safari definitely doesn't provide a large enough space. In Summit, the pet shop housed 3 males together. In the end, one lost it's tail completely due to fighting as the tank was way too small. |
