If he want to let go of her, I think she is better off back to Reanne as she was previous owner. I think the syrian might need extra care, who knows what have happened to her in FrostFox's care. unsure.gif unsure.gif unsure.gif

Anyway don't think you can stand the smell of a syrian's tank in 5-7 days time. If you use a 2 feet tank even worst when you open the lid. I know how it smells like because Fumoffu is using the 2 feet tank and it stinks in less than 7 days shocking.gif shocking.gif shocking.gif

the bottle at that height is just fine..my robo manage to drink water..
now i'm planning to put add-ons and tunnels..

If you are looking for tubes for the safari, me and sangels got some habitrail mini tubes (which is suitable for robos) to sell. PM me or sangels if you are interested.

Not using anymore cause it is really a pain to wash once a week as the robos will pee, poo, eat, and sleep inside the tubes. Also I have a ZooZone2 and a 2feet tank to wash also with the Habitrail Safari. Let you know what you are getting into first.

Does sand bathe really helps with their smell?

I didn't really notice this but i put sand bathe for 3 of my syrians. They love it very much... and i love to see them playing with their sand...  biggrin.gif

3 of my Syrians love sand bath alot.......  thumbup.gif  you can give a try.
*
Well it does help a little with the smell as Fumoffu stinks abit. I would usually put them in a small tank with bathing for them to run around in but never see them roll around tongue.gif JackJack doesn't like sand bath but he is fine cause he always groom himself.

Mine is ok but the problem is with the adult male. Keep on biting. Aggressive type. Should get from breeder instead. I have 5 siblings in a cage. So far very peaceful.
*
how many males do u have in a cage? my cage very big for 2 hamsters wor sumore they only 2 months old.. i oso dunno y so fast fight dy.. now 1 is in a cage n another in a 1.5ft tank.. wah.. headache.. stil wish to re-intro both of them if possible.. any1 has suggestions?

btw many ppl mention tat males do fight.. but i also encounter 2 adult females being aggressive to each other(no injuries cos i put 1 of them at the other side of the cage for testing tongue.gif )

do any1 actually managed to keep 2 siblings (same sex, either boy or gal) together till they reach adulthood? can i do tat by providing a bigger tank for them?

Hmm maybe genetics? The smell I mean? Only MoFo doesnt stink and I clean his tank only once in 2 weeks! The rest of the syrians, GOD HELP! I saw some tablets/liquid to put in water so that it doesnt smell. Dont know if that will work. hmm.gif

sorry to hear that NewbieBetta
as i know, in my past experience.. my hams will only attack each other if they were no food and water. especially water as hams cant survive long without water (they can survive if there is no food and got only water)

I faster take them out after i saw it, but i know they ate some also.

Usually my syrians will just run around and dig here and there. Sometimes will put of the sand over their bodies or roll them over gently.

I think the sand is not hazardous as hamsters are from the deserts. Maybe they are moving the sand like how the moved hay? unsure.gif unsure.gif unsure.gif

I saw in the GP thread that your 2 GPs is in a tank with toilet sand wor... Is this the 'bathing' sand you mentioned? Bathing sand is finer and white/yellow color like those sand in white beaches. I think you are using the wrong sand. You should use the bathing sand instead of the toilet sand tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif
