get an experience guitar player to teach you, it's much cheaper than learning in a music center by alot more.

ive just started as well, the person i'm learning from is really good, improving alot comparing to when im trying to learn on my own. it's hard and not motivated to do so, cuz you got so much things to learn for guitar, like myself i'm clueless on what to learn...

If not , everything learnt will just be taken half heartly .. haha

seriously i think in order to improve in playing guitar, might as well get an experinced guy who plays very good to teach you. I myself had went to guitar lesson (classical) but after a while i just stopped and started to play acoustic guitar and learn myself, and feel like i have reached the bottleneck....cant improve anymore...damn...really need someone to teach.

How the hell all good guitarists can play soooooo sooo damn well...??! Damn, i just i wan to be like them!

theres a guy, andre, who works at mahogany ss2, he teaches bass, electric and acoustic. no classical though. very experienced. ss2 is in PJ but the traffic there is always very congested. hard to get a place to park

there is a yamaha in centrepoint, bandar utama. i used to take acoustic lessons there 7 years ago. experienced teacher as well

i've played in many bands before. among types of bands i've played with include a dreamtheater+children of bodom influence, a pop radio friendly, a pop rock band, a nu metal band, gospel(from african influence all the way to contemporary western ones) and did sessions including musicals. i dont really know how to define my style. among things ive won is the state finals for a chinese botb sarawak level, kl zone champion for tiger powerhitz botb, national runner up, winner of bandquest(beating over 50 other bands). thats all i can remember. have gigging experience.

i usually teach beginners to intermediate. higher levels i usually just charge based on per lesson (like what they wanna learn).

Hmm, any guitar teachers here based in Nilai or Malacca? Those who focus more on metal and shred would be awesome.
