I just the xbox 360 console at Sunway Pyramid. Wonder why there's red light at the start button. It also cannot open the cd from it. Wonder why? Any guys facing this kind of problem??

3 Rings, or Red Light Of Death. To put it simply it's a REALLY common problem. Most, if not all (save for the newer ones) 360s will get hit by it. Check the other 3ROD thread.

the most shocking news... u should bring back your console and claim 1to1 exchange... then ask the shop to give you the new release console, falcon chip.. just read all the thread related with 3rod and falcon chip...

To me this is not the shocking news, this is the 2nd time so far i heard this unique problem, one of my saudara bought new Xbox 360 at Sg Wang. Just open from the box, start the button and walla 3ROD appear. Try to unplug everthing and plug it again also 3ROD.

My current activities regarding Xbox 360 : Oogling over Halo 3 box every night (I can see through the green casing, a manual, the DVD, etc... still checking it out without opening the box). And of course, NFS PS.

My current state of mind : Really, really, really, confused. (C Kopitiam )

My reaction to this : Shocked and kinda angry, why anyone would do this... I am 100% certain she got conned... perhaps because the shopkeeper thought he could take advantange of new Xbox 360 user

My advice : Get it changed like ASAP. Like right now. Today. Same day change I am sure it will be fine.

My ultimate advice : I believe in buying from places like (+(**---**)+) Gamers Hideout... or getting yourself to Singapore...

okay..that put out of the way, i pity you azizah, and what i can advice you is the same as what the others here have responded. bring back to the shop, tell them that the 3 red lights blinking means that the whole console KO and cannot be played. DEMAND them a 1 to 1 exchange, and when they give you a new set, test it at the shop. try some games, and make sure no more red lights for at least 10-15 minutes.

then DEMAND them a written guarantee, receipt or whatever to accept your console if it KOs again within a month - 3 months.

i'm really sorry to hear that you paid 1.6k for reject stuff. and i'm betting you that the console is modded..which explains the 1.6 price tag.

modded means - they tampered with the innards of the xbox 360 so that you can play non-original games. which means you will get to save money in buying games, but don't get to use its online service, which is a big part of the xbox 360.


p.s: for those about to comment in the lines of "he doesn't know anything, modded can go online" bullcrap, hear this: i don't support your "perbelanjaan bijak" ideology, so shut it and save your energy.

I just don't understand why you guys keep on buying a console with faulty design (that refers to the XBOX360). It's a different story if Microsoft Malaysia brings in the 360 so that we malaysian can enjoy the 3 years warranty. Till then, it's advisable to avoid the 360.

I was told that the Zephyr has 70% of getting 3RROD and Falcon 20%. These malfunction figures are exceptionally high even for Falcon.

Finally today I went to his shop and as you know he make all sort of story the technician....bla..bla. I talk politely saying if he's in my position what will he do. I also mention to take this case to tribunal user at Shah Alam. Then only he took a new set and hand over. I said if the set faulty again, I will ask for my money back. With his masam muka he agreed.

Im glad u got a new set ... but the question is, after u get the new set, did u test it there b4 taking back home ??

if the set is modded one very sorry there is no warranty and u ady used 2 weeks.

let it be in dashboard for about +-10mins
this is mainly bcoz the hot air will be flow out after ur GPU generate heat/hot while playing game

if u straight away switch off ur machine after playing they will be wapor in ur machine..bcoz condition hot air inside + cold air outside ur machine
