Had this same issue.. its caused because you chose the wrong PREFERRED GROUP (Main Menu>Connections>Internet Accounts>more>preferred group) setting, and in so making your device wrongfully  connects to the internet.

to solve this, edit your preferred group with 2 groups. the one named Internet you can use for your MMS/GPRS/3G accounts, while you make a new Preferred Group for Wifi containing your wifi accts. To do this (Main Menu>Connections>Internet Accounts>more>new account>group account) and create your desired accts.
I set up my Preferred Groups in this manner (example):
Internet:
Maxis 3G Wap
3G Maxis Streaming
SEMC GPRS
Wifi: (my usual wifi accts used)
DefaultWIFIAccount
Parkcity
MYYKGW

So every time you want to access a Wifi hotspot, I will select Wifi as my preferred group, and when im on the go w/out wifi spots, i chose the Internet preferred group.

This only happened to me after i upgraded to the latest firmware... b4 the upgrade my wifi was easily connected.. oh well.. no complaints now..

I can't see any "RARE! 5 colours pouch" for RM20. But, I saw this "NEW Sony Ericsson P1i Leather Pouch (PDA Case)" for RM55++. Seems like interesting. Quite "custom made" for P1. 

guys.... my 1 month old phone sometimes the signal suddenly drop to low during the receiving of call... anyone encounter this before??

I also put in my pocket only, in a jeans' pocket some more.
After 4 months of abusing it, my P1i still, I dare to say, 100% scratch-less.  
IMO, both Ori and AP are the same, just the warranty matter only.
I did a lot of firmware flashing back then when there were new firmwares coming out during last month.
From the old Singapore Firmware to Hong Kong's, then to GW1, at last I stopped my firmware with the latest Singapore's.
Tons of flashing and abusing, my phone still running strong. 
I'm having the same problem also.
But I noticed that the signal dropping didn't really affect any calls or SMSes signals.
What I mean sometime my network will became like "Emergency Calls Only", but I still can send or receive calls and SMSes.

tomolow will make a deal with somebody.. what are the aspects that i must aware of for this phone? btw there are 11 month left (Warranty) for the phone that i want to buy..

finally i'm able to wifi. 

but now 1 problem. i can't delete a wifi account, name 'DefaultWifiAccount'. it says "This account is read-only and cannot be changed!". i need to delete it..

Guys.. need your help    Is it worth it to trade in a K850 for P1i?? what do you guys think?? hope u all can help

nway aishiteru, its up to ur preferences, wanna camera so stay with k850, if wanna explore UIQ world, then p1i is the answer 

White Balance
- Auto
- Incandescent
- Fluorescent
- Daylight
- Cloudy

I have that function in my P1i but not the ISO thingy. So, how can i fully utilize all that function and take good picture out of it?

When and what situation do i need to change those settings?

I don't really get what you mean up there on the white balance explanation. Sorry, mind help to make it rather simpler?  Thx

anyone find the back and camera a lil bit hard/difficult to press at times? i mean they functions well, just that due to the curved-in design at the sides, it takes tad much effort to press them down. haha...compared to some other buttons.

that's mean there will still be charging issue on this p1i??

After much deliberation I finally got one for myself. Will the president kindly add me to the users list.

After using it I noticed two very good things.

1. The Wi-Fi range is really superb. Can receive signal although one floor up and separated by concrete.
2. The phone can really multitask!

But it seems my phone has been tampered with. Although with latest R9K009 firmware. But I have two CDAs on both my organizer and Region. One is Austria(Oh my all the way from there?) and another is Indonesia(What the hell?But my phone can display chinese!).

Plus I have lunar calender and chinese-english dictionary. 

I have a question, anyone experiencing this problem?

-> Wifi shows its connected but when page loads it says "Server cannot be found",pretty sure that site is up, its Google. All settings put to normal and the wifi Access Point is infrastructure Channel 1 

guys.. how do i know my phone is fully charged? coz the yellow light at phone is keep lighting although is already fully charge...

light aka alert light... at charging area..

just now, something wired happen to my phone.. half of my screen was undetectable.. i was like.. WTF.. then i try to restart then it came back as usual.. fiuuh..  anybody ever faced that prob? Damn!!!

ok..

1. Can P1i read the any documents?? for eg, Microsoft Office files..

2. Can P1i sync with email?? for eg, my office using the Outlook..

3. The WIFI and 3G function, is it recommended using the P1i??

4. The "green line" while using the camera..can we fixed it manually??

5. Any added point to support why all of u guys buy P1i??

yeah, but there's certain people that make such a big fuss about wifi-G, like they going to fully utilize the 54mbps on the tiny device.
me myself personally feels that the lack of flash is a much bigger issue than lacking of wifi-G
i guess its the AP dealer/phone shop tampered with the CDA to enable chinese on the set.

are there any tutorials in upgrading the firmware.. sorry.. for asking 'quick answer' coz too lazy to use uncle google.. 

Guys need help on the screen protector.

A few choices here that makes me go crazy.

1. Obviously the venerable Martin Fields at RM 47.9
2. Eagle Screen by kit_kit RM 5
3. LCD + Camera Screen Protector by Renee
4. Screenmask at RM 9

Anyone using brands OTHER than Martin Fields? Because that protector is just too nice and expensive, almost can buy 2GB M2 with that money. Please comment, because I am afraid of color reproducibility and brightness under sunlight will be affected when I buy cheap ones.
