i just lost my phone two weeks ago ang got a P1i as replacement last.

yeah, like most u guys here, it's HK set with chinese input and some chinese-named ringtone files. i don't think the name can be change to english so delete them except those that sound nice and just rename it.

so far never hang yet although i've been installing all sorts of software/games.me too still looking for games that are suitable for P1i...

and..isk..green tint too.. sad.gif

still.. i'm loving it! rclxm9.gif

lame excuse, being a professional dealer, the shop shd open up the box, & show u one by one all the items included in the package before handing over to you.

i know a shop from digital mall who do that everytime i buy phone from them.

if any accessories is short (due to Ap), it's their job to tell u, not "u should have check before buy".....

well, i'm not familiar with digitall mall..elvinyew, how's the phone price there compared to lowyat and sg wang?

i hope we make a list of compatible software/games for P1i. better if we can put it in the 1st page. I want to recommend Assasin's Creed, Prince of Persia Classic and Rayman Raving Rabbids. Full 240x320, nice graphics, and gameplay. and i'm still looking for more. i've tried Picodrive too (Sega Megadrives emulator) with Mortal Kombat3..not bad, just difficulty of mapping out keys (imagine d-pad and 6 buttons on the P1i). it can map out area on the screen too..cool rclxms.gif

i've install DocumentsToGo in my P1i and i think it's better than built in Quick Office. i guess there's no way to remove quick office from the phone right?

well...my name not in the list too. it doesn't bother me anyway..

just wanna report in what i found out yesterday. after shooting a few pics with phone, i straight keep it in the pouch (coz i know it will go into power saving mode later). 3 hours later, my phone batt already fall to around 10% from 80-70% initially. and the phone felt a lil more warm.

my guess is, power saving mode only applies to the screen (it went off). in my case, the camera still running and consume power. i've yet to try this again to confirm my theory. no time la...anyone wanna try?

Eh guys, i wasn't that lucky...

Phone shop dun replace a new one... Instead i malu there...

The 'Locked' is the autofocus lock. Then we r suppose to press deeper, right? Apparently, i didn't press deep enuf.  blush.gif The shopkeeper told me to use my finger nails...

Are all the P1i camera button that difficult to press? I have used k700, k810, k850, w810, w850 and s500 and the camera button not as bad as this...

Can u guys imagine, i press until my hands were shaking... shocking.gif

They name card thingy option is damn cool!!!
*
haha..u make me wonder what exactly the problem is and i actually tried all sort of situation to replicate your problem tongue.gif
if u noticed, the P1i camera button behave exactly like normal camera shutter button. it's a 2 level press button. at 1st level, the camera will focus (then it tells u it found the right focus and lock it - "focus locked"). as u press deeper, the 2nd level, it snap the pic. to me, SE got it right by using this method. just like real camera. to some, the button might fell a bit hard, may be because u have to press deeper, and the pics also get shaky. (normal camera user counter this shake by using timer, hence, more camera now have 2 sec timer with addition to normal 10 sec)

yeah, the name card thingy is so cool! i'd say 95% reliable. i use it on all my friends with biz cards laugh.gif

I've install some java's game, but don't know they're incompatible or what.
When I was asked to "Press 5 to begin", I pressed, but nothing happened.
Instead, I have to press the jog key to start.
And when in the game, I cannot move or whatever.
Do you guys suffer the same problem?
*
u just have to press [ALT] twice to get number function on the button. just like when u want to switch to number mode when u write messages. apparently, most jawa apps can't recognize the keyboard but function as normal when press [ALT] twice to get into number mode. took me some time to find it out. THEN, u find a lot of games VERY nice to play.

any of u guys tried Insterstellar Flame 2? it's the only game i found that use touchscreen rclxm9.gif but i can't seem to use the keyboard doh.gif .. if i wasn't mistaken, it was designed for W960i.

and those ARE very nice links squall_kay brows.gif

just to let u guys know...more like a review. i got a silicone skin from a forumer here for P1i. i'd say it's a snug fit (good!) but only have a problem with the jog dial. there is hole for the dial but since the skin is around it, it's harder to press the dial. the keyboard is also covered nicely but i find that i type slower with the skin on. but overall very good protection if manhandled your phone roughly a lot. i use it if i go outdoors, keep it off, and p1i looks mean brows.gif

saltyegg, mind to share, how it happen?

no one try out with gps yet? brows.gif

just installed Garmin GMXT for symbian in my P1i. fully rockin good rclxm9.gif using malsing map.
just a lil lag when zooming in/out at crowded map. now getting the voice pack to try it out. mind you, all this is test without a gps receiver. u can use all the function that doesn't use gpsr. also, this software can only be pair with garmin stuff but this is my best option in malaysia in term of maps availability and up-to-date-ability tho a bit expensive price for the receiver.

i carried out this test since the software all free before investing in garmin 10x receiver. so far, all is well biggrin.gif
