isit wifi-g so important? coz i think most of common ap will use b+g or g with backward compatiblity..

You don't have a CDA and updated firmware for the phone applications. The firmware controls the phones hardware and in turn may increase performance and fixes some issues in the phone functions.

The latest firmware is R9K009. If you want the latest firmware everytime SE releases, you might wanna consider flashing to World Generic 1 or 2. But you will lose everything inside the phone. And will not have Chinese font support unless you install the language pack.

Mine comes preloaded with ... Austria + Indonesia CDA , so someone obviously flashed my phone before. Weird thing is I can even display Japanese.

damn!! hopefully nothing happen.. huhu.. not dark screen.. it normal but when i touch the screen, nothing happen.. but for upper screen.. it function like normal.. im taking care of it like a baby.. dono why its happen.. so sudden..

yeah, but there's certain people that make such a big fuss about wifi-G, like they going to fully utilize the 54mbps on the tiny device.
me myself personally feels that the lack of flash is a much bigger issue than lacking of wifi-G

i guess its the AP dealer/phone shop tampered with the CDA to enable chinese on the set.

are there any tutorials in upgrading the firmware.. sorry.. for asking 'quick answer' coz too lazy to use uncle google..

yes. lack of flash is a bigger issue. even my old se can display flash file.

after u install sues, it will hv instruction with moving graphics.

Guys need help on the screen protector.

A few choices here that makes me go crazy.

1. Obviously the venerable Martin Fields at RM 47.9
2. Eagle Screen by kit_kit RM 5
3. LCD + Camera Screen Protector by Renee
4. Screenmask at RM 9

Anyone using brands OTHER than Martin Fields? Because that protector is just too nice and expensive, almost can buy 2GB M2 with that money. Please comment, because I am afraid of color reproducibility and brightness under sunlight will be affected when I buy cheap ones.

expensive but it its worth it.
i've used MFOP for half a year now and there's not even a single scratches on it.
unlike previous RM10 screen protector i used on my PDA, about a month the SP already full with scratches by stylus

i think not many using martin fields. u know lar why..

im using cheap one for the screen. ok aje. for camera i'm not using any protector. no worry about the light. if u notice the camera shape is not round and it's a little bit deeper. i found very hard to stick a sticker on it.. so i just leave it.

i even got the dude to pre-install some softwares i requested n some goodie-bag due to my day and charge it 8-9 hrs before i make the payment n collection...talk about great customer service =) thats why 2k for 4gb m2 n 2yr warranty is worth evry penny as i deliver high end customer service in the service industry myself.

Just received my Martin Fields after waiting for 2 weeks ,will install it tonite. Can't wait to protect my precious P1i .

For SP im only using the rm15 one only

So far no problem(didnt affect the brightness n colours)

As for the camera i juz DIY another SP to fix its size!

i've been wondering wats the difference between b and g for the wifi?

my explanation will be:
b is the old wireless standard and g is newer version than b. g will provide more bandwidth for wireless network. most of latest wireless router provide g and above. if the purpose for wifi, b is enuf.
