FYI, P1i sounded extremely, I repeat, EXTREMELY soft.
If you're those kind of person who need a very loud ringtone, P1i is not a device for you.

Soft? Really doh.gif Then its a turn off for me already.. k850 has a good speaker FYI.. I've just bought k850 after months of in dilemma to choose between k850 and P1i.. but after a few weeks of use i think there's nothing that special about k850 compared to my old k800.. i want something different like P1i.. guess have to wait for G series laa.. thanx for your info guys notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

Cannot put max volume, the sound will definitely pecah.
2 bars below max is the safe point, I think.
Cause I've test both max and 1 bar below, both also pecah.
*
Hahaz but mine no pecah leh, maybe try to use some software to adjust the mp3 kua blush.gif but i agree the max volume of p1i is soft. Need the vibration so u know the fone is ringing or incoming sms sweat.gif

Hi guys,

I'm here on behalf of my brother, who recently purchased a P1i. Being a Sony Ericsson user for quite some time (both w and k series), we noticed that the picture shot even at 3mp is quite grainy... is that normal?

For your information, where u shoot the pic? issit a fine sunny day? or indoor? inside ur room? coz 3.2megapixel, even indoor or less sunlight, the quality will be not good lo hmm.gif

Try to capture pic at a very fine sunnyday + good sunlight , if ur images still grainy means ...i oso dunno liaw flex.gif

Dont expect much on camera quality. This is just a simple lens. Try out K series if more on photography. smile.gif

Like what saber said, lighting plays an important role as well. You got to see where are you snapping those pictures. If in a room lighting... pictures taken may be grainy and blur. But if you were to compare picture taken outdoor with normal sunlight... that's gonna be a huge difference on it

i dont on the vibrating alert with ringtones, js on the vibrating when in silent only...for me..its loud enuf for me.. biggrin.gif
at least compare to my previous w810, this p1i has better loudspeaker n louder....btw, regarding the volume pecah at max, as for mine, certain song pecha certain not, i think depends on the source itself..nway, i perasan that for songs with bitrate more than 192kbps, the loudspeaker will pecah at max volume...below 192kbps its ok icon_rolleyes.gif

thanks guys. I suspected the auto white light is the culprit during indoor shots. Will get my bro to test it outside. icon_rolleyes.gif

Did I just hear someone comment on P1i's camera? rolleyes.gif
I don't dare say the cam is the best, but try to take a look on the 2 pics below.
They're 2 of my favorite pics I've taken so far, with my P1i.

Pic 01 : Macro Mode + Very poor lightning room

Pic 02 : Macro Mode + In a very strong lightning room + Reduced ISO Exposure value

P/s: MACRO MODE FTW ! laugh.gif

I got my AP set without the Chinese Stokes thingy on my keypad.
Maybe you can try go other places, you might find it.
And no, not everyone's selling APAC P1i.

W810i lose to P1i in speaker?
You must be kidding.
With custom driver a W810i can sound as sweet as a decent RM200 speaker.
As for the pecah thingy, I'm using 320kbps MP3 as my ringtone, which I directly ripped from original CDs.
So, I don't think quality of the song is a matter on me.
My ex-M600i having the same problem with P1i, which will pecah after the last 2 bars.
And if you soften those MP3 volume, and max the volume, wouldn't it be same as you use original volume with 2 bars lesser.
You got what I mean?

Actually light isn't an issue.
I've tried to adjust to higher ISOExposure value, and it came out a very good result.
Same as when you're under a full light mode.
Lower the ISOExposure value so that you can get a better quality pics.

im not kidding coz i owned it...i mean w810 in stock mod la sweat.gif
even the modded w810 i dont think it can compete with the stand alone speaker at rm200 hmm.gif
n btw, for low end speakers (normally below rm300) n handphone loudspeakers playing 320kbps or 128kbps not much diff in quality actually unless u r using good speaker, then can notice the diff....for hp 128kbps or the most 192kbps more than enuf, hp loudspeaker (mostly) tiny only n not enuf to compare with those stand alone rm200 speakers...
in addition, most song dld from website normally js 128kbps or 192kbps

nway nice shot there... thumbup.gif

I'm having the same problem also.
But I noticed that the signal dropping didn't really affect any calls or SMSes signals.
What I mean sometime my network will became like "Emergency Calls Only", but I still can send or receive calls and SMSes.

Just now I managed to screen shot the moment of truth.
