Two methods I use to transfer contact from Nokia phone to SE :

1) Use bluetooth transfer 1 by 1, if got 100 contacts, you will transfer like no tomorrow  rclxub.gif
2) Sync to Ms Outlook and use SE PC Suite to sync back to P1i, thats easy and fast, after transfered, each of my P1i contact show double name (ie Paul Paul, Phua Phua), dont know for what reason.
*
Could be ur first name and last name field issue, check on ur outlook contacts after sync-ed from nokia phone.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1Ysc5SSGQM&feature=related

I'm getting my P1i (hopefully) somewhere this week...
and i soooo want that iPhone theme!  drool.gif

anyone know where i can get it for free?
they say you have to buy it, but i heard you can get it for free.  brows.gif

But, looking thru all your problems... i'm having doubts. is it worth while in the end?

Nothing special bro...
1) The iphone screen lock thing can be downloaded, google it .
2) The iphone icons can be replaced by downloading the png file.
3) The Wallpaper, u should know where u can get it from smile.gif

Just wana share wit my fellow "P1ians" rolleyes.gif

It might seem like a trivial subject, but keeping your P1i battery in tip-top condition is quite important for those who need the extra juice to survive for the half-day outing. Or simply put, you just want to maximise the life span of the battery you currently own. In any case, this is one guide worth reading.

  1. Memory Effect
You might have heard before that you should fully drain the battery before recharging it, as this would allow one to completely fill up the battery to its capacity as opposed to charging it when there is still 50% left in the battery. This is good advice for Nickel based batteries, which suffers from the so called "memory effect". However, since Lithium batteries do not suffer from this problem, there is no reason to fully discharge the battery before recharging.

In any case, it could even be harmful for your Lithium battery, as constantly discharging your Lithium battery may leave it short of its capacity or even render it unusable if you do it enough times.

  2. Calibration
Okay, fine. In order to get accurate battery readings from your phone, you might want to discharge your phone once in a while, i.e. once every two months. This allows the system to get the readings accurate again. Don't you ever have that situation where you wonder why the battery meter keeps jumping around?

  3. Temperature
Heat is the enemy of Lithium batteries - try not to overcharge your batteries. What I mean here is to get it off the charger after it says "Full Charge" or when its "99%".

  4. Proper Storage
Let's say you're going on a hiking trip and you can't bring your P1i along. Or something of that sort. If you don't use the smart phone for a prolonged period of time, try keeping the charge in the battery at about 50%. Why? Because if you keep it at full charge, the battery has unnecessary stress and may cause internal corrosion. On the other hand, if you keep it at too low a charge, it may render it completely unusable because of the battery self discharge. Yes. This means you should keep eating away at the battery until is 50% - play games, put the music to maximum, show a slideshow. That will bring the battery down.

Please at least give some credits to the P1i blog owner as u r directly COPIED over from his blog, will ya?

QUOTE(kevafk @ Jan 21 2008, 08:33 PM)
hi guys.. today around 4-5pm i went to Digital Mall one of friend's shop to check out the P1i smile.gif.. i was about to upgrade my P990i to P1i but unfortunately i changed my mind.. what changes my mind was the Camera was a turn off.. i test 4 set of P1i camera all its with the green tint mentioned here in lyn.. 1 of it is original P1i.. so no solution those fone was 2007 Oct fones.. perfomance wise only slightly faster yes u can open up prolly more than 10 application at one time not the p990i.. open up Messeges inbox loading almost the same with P990i i've notice. Camera P990i definately better than P1i comparing 2Mega pixel and P1i's 2Mega pixel (changed the setting).. as for Keyboard i found p990i slighty much better (prolly because im very used to P990i) and the end of the day i decided to hold off do somemore research if its really worth it to change from P990i to P1i.. P1i definately looks sexier but other than that just so-so
*
No doubt , there is no point for P990i user to upgrade to P1i, me myself an O2 Atom user previously, totally unsatisfied with P1i performance , especially the handwriting recognition system, its just suxs big time with chinese input firmware. If i cant get used to it in the near future, i will surely sell it off smile.gif

Same reason why I'm keeping my P990i as well. smile.gif

The flip-closed P990i is just awesomely FAST to use, and P1i in no way can beat that when calling and SMSing with one hand.

And due to the horrendous green tint problem in the P1i, the P990i's camera is far better than it.

The P990i has a larger screen too.

However, I still like the P1i due to its amazing QWERTY keyboard and I just hate my P990i's QWERTY as I have big fingers. And this is what I love about the P1i. I'm just waiting for the darn green tint issue to be solved.

Haha, u still have ur i-mobile ma....can take good pic way better than this green monster tongue.gif

Normally I just put the phone in the original pouch.
But when I'm in massive-sms-mode, I will hold the phone on my hand, and the pouch in my pocket.
I quite like to hold a phone, especially P1i in the hand while I'm doing nothing.
My P1i still 100% scratch-free, drop-free.
A guy like me never take care of a phone so nicely, other than this.
And my stylus, I think I rarely use it, not even 5 times I think.
I prefer using other 'stick', such as pen.
Its more comfortable to use as I have a pair of fat hands. sad.gif

But then y u r having a FEMALE tag ? O_O
