i have problem here about wifi..can u guys out there teach me step by step how to setup the wifi n can get through to surf the net..

i have tried many other thing to make it,go through the net,read all your comment before..but i still can't..

today,i can connect the wifi to my phone,the blue cirle appears..
but..
when i go to mini opera n want to surf it appear something like

failed to connect to the Internet.

I need some help. I'm trying to sync my Outlook 2007 Calender using the SE PC Suite's Sync Manager. But when I go into the settings, it only allows for syncing of Contacts and Bookmarks. Why is that? I have reinstalled and ensured my Outlook was closed but I still get the same thing. Pls help. Thanks.

was at the gym... i dont ever bring my phone till today weirdly i brought it... the day i signed up for membership at celebrity fitness OU after my trial period finish.

i found it missing the moment i reached home and called up celebrity fitness
my friend called earlier and said a "typical malay" man picked up the phone when she called, mumbled something and closed it but couldnt call back... but i called her AFTER I LEFT AND CHECKED THE GYM FOR MY MISSING PHONE.

I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO NOW!
im planning to go back to celeb make a report and HOPEFULLY they have CCTV.

any advises?
oh yea, one more thing... the backup i made for my phone... could it be transfered to other models?
i'll have to use a spare one for now... and maybe buy back p1i when the price drops further SIGH

hey ya guys. hving problem here.

there are few sms in my inbox that hav been read. but the next time i want to open it, it says access denied, the message is incomplete.

this only happens to few numbers. i've no idea why.

for example, a send me sms. before today, i can read. but today donno y all previous and also new sms from a i cant open.

I have try the application and it works like a charm.. 

I just sent my  P1i back to the shop for support. It can't read the SIM Contact at all after I off and on the phone.

Though I have move all my contact to the phone but the phone essentially still will read from the SIM and because its some how never could despite more than 5 mins, (though I can make and received call, can send SMS and received but can't read them.. access denied or incomplete information etc). So when the phone can read the SIM, everything function normally!

The indication I get is when I make call or received call, I can't see the caller name, only caller phone nos. But when the phone does read the SIM contact correctly, I can see the caller name, and the SMS sender....

So it will take 1 week to have my phone back. I really like the phone! The shop suspect SW problem instead of HW. I'm not sure! since I already updated the FW to the latest one from SEUS. Its have some improvement ie the triangle is transparent and the language selection is EN instead of chinese character etc.

But the problem remain from day 1.

We shall see what happen next week when it returned!

HI guys, have u encountered this before, before flashing to new firmware u backup ur phone memory using Sony ericson PC suit, backup shows succesful but after u flash ur phone and try to restore back, the restore failed! error message showing "phone not responding" when it rebooted the phone. how can i restore my backup? i need my contacts and my smses! thanks!

have you flashed your phone before?

Hi Everyone..
I'm now trying to upgrade my firmware for the 1st time.
Just finish charging my phone and connect my phone to my pc using the usb cabel (phone is still on).
Then, i run the Update Service. Now, it just keep on displaying the animation of SE logo and been running like this for more than 10mins.

Am I doing to correct thing or is this a normal behavior? Btw, below is the info of my phone.

I just plug out the usb cabel from my pc and i kill the update service from the task manager. Now, i just try to launch the update service without plugin in my phone. The funny thing is, the update service is still showing the SE animation. I plan to let it run for a while and see what is the outcome of this. Anyway, thanks for your fast reply. Cheers.

Hey guys has the green tint problem been solved or? Firmware or hardware related?

I am gonna buy my P1 soon and I am afraid I am going to get the green tint. It is apparent after a few months of usage or a defective phone will show green tint although its new?

I'm confused why my FW is different compare to the latest CDA. Can someone shed some light on this? Thanks.

Today i accidently remove my battery without switching off the phone first (and i took out the sim card) after than when i put back everything... it seems that i cant dial when i am in the main interface...normally when i press the number key den the the numbers will come out and i can call by dialing manually.. but now wat key i press also doenst work... i only can do manual dial when i go into the phone function in the menu.... anyone experienced this before ? I did a master reset and it doenst help also....

No complain on the phone but the camera is a big dissapointment. The picture quality is either soft or blur.
My previous Nokia N70 (2MP) takes better picture. Very sure is not camera defect because I have compared it with my friend's P1i already.

Anyone has the same 'problem' here?

Will the latest firmware imporve the photo quality?

Once you all move the contact from SIM to phone contact, do you delete the SIM contact or leave it as it is and just read from phone contact?

Apparently on the P1i even you copy all to phone contact and view from it, when you switch off and on, P1i will still access the SIM. And during this start up, when you make a call with the Phone Contatc, you only able to see the phone nos and not the name until P1i complete reading your SIM Contact despite that you have copy all to phone contact.

Try this experiment. Send an SMS to your self before shutting down and don't view it. Then shut down and on again. Immediately made a call with your phone contact and see if you can see the name of the person? and also try to send sms to your self and see what happen. You prolly can't see the sender name or the person you calling and may not able to read that SMS.

I know many recommended not to switch off and all but I wonder if some of you detected this bug.

But if you waited for a few mins, you repeat the above and you can see all the name and the SMS again.

Mine have this bug and I suspect I'm not alone.

Anyhow I send it again today to service center as today I after I master reset, all my THEMES and RINGTONE GONE!!! Sign!

Do I need to go to do the "change to Singapore"? Since I'm already a Singapore fw...

Besides that, before update I need to backup my thing using the backup option.
Does that backup can put back into the phone after I flash to the lattest fw?
Wat does it backup? I mean doest it backup the calendar, phone's details etc?
